Ok, the sheltie was dropped off last night and I MUST keep him! I am in love with this little guy, he is just the sweetest most easy going little guy. The doctor wants me to stay in bed for 2 weeks, oh yeah so I won't be on for 2 weeks, and he has basically stayed in the bed with his little head rested on my belly all day. Every once in awhile he'll hear the girls out in the living room and perk up with this look like "oh I really want to go see what they are doing, but I don't want to leave you" it's TOO cute. I have to give him permission to go and check out what the girls are doing and as soon as he sees what they are doing he'll come back hop up on the bed and get right back with his head on my belly. He's SO sweet, he's so scared right now though he doesn't know what is going on but he's adjusting very well. I was really set on finding him a new home but I can't do it he's so good and just such a little gentleman. Oh, I don't know what to do now I wasn't suppose to get attached to him.

Keep him. He sounds so fantastic! :) People drop unwanted dogs off at your house?
it was a relatives dog. She is old and couldn't take care of him anymore so people twisted our arms until we decided to take him.

Ooh. That makes sense. You are doing a good deed. :) How old is the sheltie?

Julie, I think we all saw it coming. ;)

Keep him! He seems like such a sweetie. Maybe once he settles in, he can be referee to Hannah and Lily.

He'll be three in a couple days. She's had him since he was 4 months old so he's grown up around her and he's just so calm from being with an old woman that it's AWESOME. He's still scared of my girls though. He wants to go watch them but he'll just peer around the corner to see what they are doing. I'm trying to sneak time on the computer because my husband doesn't believe that it's ok for me to be on the computer because the doctor said BED rest, so he thinks I have to remain in bed the WHOLE time. It's so boring, but the dogs are keeping me company though. The girls would rather be out in the livingroom but Foxy right up there on the bed with me just wanting attention.

Aw, he does sound like a sweetheart! I’d have a horrible time finding him a home too. I’m sort of in the same boat. We have a foster Miniature Poodle for the past few months and she sounds so much like him and we’re so attached to her. The only way I can see us finding a home suitable for her is if we can find one that I feel/know is better than ours. Until then she’s going to be with us.

No...not yet. We don't have our digital camera. It broke:( , I'm so lost without it. I have a regular camera that you use film for but ofcourse there's still like two pictures left on it so then we'll have to take it to get developed (maybe tomorrow...here's for hoping). My husband would have to do it though because I "can't get out of bed" .

Sounds like you've got a dog there, Julie ;) A Herder will make a good addition to your two, especially with the baby on the way. Herders are notoriously "nursey" and want to take care of everyone . . .

JulieF....I'm so glad you love him! He has the sweetest face and now so nice to know he has the personality to go with it. I've wanted a sheltie for a long time. Maybe some day.....
Is he one of the smaller shelties? I love those tiny ones.

I would definately keep him. He sounds lovely and settling in nicely. It's obvious he's taken to you! Also, sounds like he isn't hard to care for either. WE GOT OURSELVES A WINNER!
