I know how you feel zoom :(

Although I do see my mom a lot more often than my dad. My mom comes to visit twice a year and then we go up to Canada to visit her. But it tears me up when she leaves. I miss my mom so much. We are planning a big get together for christmas this year in Hot Springs and my mom and step dad are going to come too. this will be my first Christmas with her in many years. so excited

I hope you can see your parents soon. Like the saying goes "You don't know what you've got till it's gone" (or at least not right at your fingertips)

I was there during Tom's Fort Riley days ....no fun for me !! Had a basement apt that had been flooded ...rockroaches ...and as he was there for basic training saw him only when I smuggled him out late a night ! Was only 3 months , but 3 months from hell!

Yes, absence does make the heart grow fonder. Ever since I went to college, I've been on much better terms with my parents, though those terms usually disintigrated a bit over summer vacation. But now...6 months...yeah.

And I had the hardest time writing that first sentence. One day in my art class, the prof. was talking about some artist and his affinity for absinthe. Apparently this affected the artist's color choices, because he began using more yellow or made his people blond, something along those lines. Anyway, the prof. then posed the question to the class "Did absinthe make the art grow blonder?" and it's been stuck in my head ever since.

Or there's the other perversion of the phrase: "absence makes the font grow harder . . . "
