I want her so bad....She was the perfect little pocket pit. hehe She was solid black, super muscular, and only about 16 inches tall. Such a cutie. Full grown, too. I need to go back to see her and she if she's DA. Even though I couldn't have her right now....uuughh. I just had to share.

Pits are really nice dogs. They have gotten bad raps from poor ownership and breeding. I have seen so many cute ones.

Hey you caught the pit bull bug :p I've had it for quite a while now and I don't think it's gonna go away until I get myself one!

Yeah, I've had it for awhile too. lol They put up a page for her! She's much more toned and a lot smaller in person. Such a sweetie.

shes a cutie!

but this is what concerns me:
". She may be adopted only to people with significant dog rearing experience, especially those familiar with the breed"

I wonder why that is.

That doesn't concern me, I feel that's a normal filter for people wanting to adopt pit bulls (any dog, really). It's less about the breed and more about public perception. You don't want someone who is going to take their dog straight to the dog park after adoption, and you want an adopter to know a little bit about dog body language to keep their dog out of trouble. Because pit bulls and their owners literally live every day under a microscope (trust me, there are people waiting for us to fail left and right), it's especially important that responsible folks are the ones to take on the responsibility.

If you go to any breed specific rescue you'll hear similar language, but shelters attract many first time pet owners who have not done any research. That message is for them, not us ;)

p.s. forgot to mention... she's friggin adorable! I want to eat her up!
