Tell me about it. :rofl1:

Believe it or not, the only relief I've had from politics this month from both coworkers and clients was when I sold a car to one of the most prominent lobbyists in DC. He was great, actually.

Bronco Bamma.........hehehe

And yes, I'm with her! But seriously? We haven't gotten slammed NEARLY as hard as we did in 2008. 4 years ago Bronco Bamma was doing back flips to win our votes in my town (and I assume the state) I remember trying to paint the stairwell, and it seemed like every time I got on the ladder, a supporter would knock on my door. Drove me NUTS the last 2 weeks!

Though yesterday my mail box was stuffed FULL of political campaign garbage. As I threw it all out without reading it, I thought about how much money all that garbage costs and how much good that money could do in other areas *sigh*

We've been slammed with automated Mitt calls -- average about six a day, for the last couple of months

And then there's all the state level crap. And it's all lies. They say whatever they think we want to hear to get elected and it's totally meaningless as far as what they're going to DO is concerned.

SO true.

That thought hits me, too, with all the church spam I get in the mail, much of it lately trying to tell me how to vote

Poor kid. She's reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelly sensitive though. WTH has she been watching? That is so unusual for a little kid. I wonder if the parents are getting all worked up about the election and she's being affected that way.

I was lucky to live in the state I did in 2008. But yeah....it is disgusting all this theater these politicians go through to work their "magic" on us pawns. At least when I was in Idaho, I wasn't bombarded like I am in Washington with all this garbage filling my mail box. Idaho is a conservative state. I'm afraid to put a republican bumper sticker on my car here. (not that I would mess up my car like that) I have no doubt my car would be keyed. This state is raging with the left. But yeah....there are often papers blowing all over in the wind when they drop this stuff on the front porch. Frequently, I have to go running around picking up their litter. Very annoying. I want one of those signs that says, "no soliciting, no political or religious literature, no (whatever else they have) and no kidding." LOL. I keep meaning to find something like that.

I was grimly amused that, during the hurricane here, the local radio station reported that a major hazard for people who were (foolishly) out driving was flying campaign signs.

Edit: But I have to say, I'm so sick of the campaign I almost don't want to vote. And I ALWAYS vote. But I'm just so **** sick of it this year.

Same here. I am beginning to think the voting could easily be tampered with, manipulated by a small group that is really running the show, not even the politicians.... and that it's all just a theater practice for the multitudes of little ant/sheep that we are.

Me 3, we've been in a 2 year constant election here. Between the last races for gov and the senate, then recalls for state seats, then gov recalls and now presidential election, it's been non-stop campaigning for 2 years here and it's ****ing disgusting. All of it. They're so full of **** and people just eat it up. I swear there is a competition between the state level right now to see who can distort and stretch a sound byte the most for their commercials.

I have Mitt Romney sending mail to my house every other day, and Michelle Obama has somehow figured out how to email me. And then I have people trying to give me a bumper sticker to put on my Suburban. It's bad enough that people still use bumper stickers, but it's worse when said sticker has a picture of Obama and "2012" on one side and a picture of [a black] Jesus and "One true Messiah" on the other (it's separated diagonally).

ETA: Jesus was neither black nor white. He was from the middle east. I've never understood blonde-haired blue-eyed Jesuses nor black ones. ??
