What are they thinking? I was telling a friend of my husband's that when I take Zoe out to the coast, she goes absolutely crazy over the paragliders (probably in part because my husband paraglides). She barks and pulls on the leash and is almost impossible for me to control. His advice (an expert since he does not have a dog and hasn't since childhood) is to "yank back so hard on the leash that it sends Zoe into the air. It's ok, it won't hurt her, and she'll learn not to do that". Um, gee ok thanks. Seriously what do you say to people who give advice like this?
