IDK if its depression or what but I just dont care to do anything anymore..
Laundry
Dishes
House hold chores
Taking daily showers (sometimes I will go 5 days :yikes: )
Changing my cloths

I can barely get to making the bed anymore..
Some days I do just fine but mostly its a fight to do anything.
I will go DAYS without doing laundry and I try and tell myself doing 1 load a day is reasonable..
I try telling myself I am lazy and need to do stuff but...

IDK if its cause I only leave the house 1x a week and I feel trapped or what it is...

Anyone else going/have gone through this??
Will it ever end?
How do I get back on my feet!??!

Maybe there has been something triggering that? I know someone who has... and the advice I can give is take daily walks with your dogs or just alone, go to the mall and buy some nice new clothes that you can wear to parties and then throw a big party and get back in touch with your friends, and tell them to bring good side dishes so you can eat some yummy food and you'll feel great. :) Get out of the house more often, maybe go work out with some friends *not saying you need to, but it's just fun*. And go over to friend's house ocassionally, to the beach, to the pool, etc.

It probably is depression. That's how I feel when I'm depressed...I don't know if it ever goes away :(

I'm like that all the time. Matter of fact, I just finished laundry that has been sitting for a while. Took me TWO DAYS to do it all. I HATE the laundry the most, so that is what I let go the most, so it's my biggest prollem.

I'm like you. Young momma, spends her days at home... I just get to where I just want it all to go away, if only for a moment, just so I can get a break. Hell, I can't even go to the bathroom without something going wrong! :lol-sign:

Your just in a funk. You'll come out of it :)

depression?? sounds pretty normal to me, there is nothing on that list I'd like to do, I just have to do it. Get out of the house, do something you like, and if you don't like anything, keep looking till you find something you do. all work and no play will kill a person, unless of course work is play but that's different.

I'm assuming you had a baby? If so, normally people do get depressed after that stage but you just have to pick up where you left off.

that weight gain is not even relevant. You're probably in a rut, it happens when you get stuck doing everythying you have to do, and nothing that you want to do. Sometimes you have to just suck it up and do those things, but you also have to take time out to take care of yourself as well.

Its quite normal to feel overwhelmed at times and sometimes you won't always deal with it the best, but you learn from it each time. Everybody deals with it differently, how would work best for you? I have no idea, I don't know you.

Not everyone with an underactive thyroid gains weight though. Depression and exhaustion are common symptoms, that's why a lot of doctors routinely test everyone who seems depressed for thyroid issues. Other symptoms include: hair loss and thinning, dry skin, feeling cold all the time, hearing loss, memory problems. People usually don't exhibit all these symptoms at once.

Sarah--one of the hardest things to do when parenting little ones is finding time to refuel yourself. Sounds like you need to find a time when you can relax--is there a friend who could watch the kids for an afternoon once a week, so you can have some "down time'. Being responsible for little ones 24 hours a day drains a person. I hope your SO helps out --if you wear yourself out, you, the kids, and your SO will all loose out.
Find something that feeds your soul--art, reading, meditation, a walk....and do it--till you start to feel alive and wanting things again! Good luck--parenting is not easy! :)

There is feeling low, and then there is depression.

I think that most people have low points in their life.

In fact, I think EVERYONE has low points in their life.

There is a lot you need to consider about your circumstance and life style before you can even to worry about having "medically diagnosed" depression.

Yes, If I were you I would get it checked out. Post partum depression is surprisingly common.....and responds well to therapy.

Holy cow you're skinny (but also my weight) not only for just being skinny, especially after having a baby! (sorry had to add that)
Yes I would suggest a trip to the doctor also... and while you're out do some things for your own enjoyment. :)

Postpartum is one thought. Or are you eating properly getting the right vitamins. I went to the doctors and was in a serious rut. Slept all the time, would cry for no reason, went from perfectly happy to seriously angry with no warning, loss of hair the whole nine yards and the reason for it. Lack of B12. Took b12vitamins and within 2 weeks everything started to balance out again. So if your diet is off just try taking one of those one a days vitamins for a few weeks and see if that helps you.

Hope you figure out whats wrong. All the best.
