OK here we go :

1. Take her out at night before crating her. Give her 10-15 minutes until she pees encouraging her all the time with words like "go" or "pee". When she is done parise, praise, praise and treat. No water before she goes to the crate.
If she doesn't pee, take her back in to her crate.

2. She goes out very first thing in the morning even before you have your coffee. Same routine encourage, praise and treat.

3. She should go out after each nap and each play session.

Most important thing is consistency and routine. With my puppy, he is now 8 months old, he sticks to a 5am -12 pm - 7pm routine. He goes out at 5am to pee. 7am to poop [ after breakfast at 5.30 ].

Generally speaking a dog will not soil where she / he sleeps. Also, a 3-months old could hold herself up to 4-5 hours but in your case don't push that long until she knows that peeing in the house is wrong.

If she is with you all the time but manages to slip away, I would put her on a leash even in the house so wherever you go she goes.

By the way :
1. what have you done so far to train her ?
2. Where does she poop ?
3. What do you do when she pees in the house ?
4. Have you ever caught her peeing ? If yes, how did you react
?

I think JoyfulRoy pretty much summed it all up. The only other thing I thought that might be helpful would be to basically start over w/ her, as if she were only an 8wk old puppy. What I mean is take her out every hour to hour and a half. It's time consuming definitely, but I think it will really help to establish the habit of going outside. I think it will also help remind her, that's where you should go.

My mom has a new puppy (she has had him about 2 1/2 wks), so he's 10 1/2 wks now. Anyway, he's a yellow lab and she crate trains him. She started out the first 4 days (b/c she was home all day) taking him 1 - 1 1 /2 hours. Immediately when he wakes up she would pick him up and carry him until he was outside, and immediately after he eats. He has wet in the house 2 times and those times were when my 16 y/o brother had taken him upstairs and he wasn't watching him. Other than that, he doesn't have accidents in the house. Like Joyfulroy said, leash her in the house (she can't be let out of your site for even a second until she is completely housebroken.) Hope this helps too! :)

to answer the last questions. when i catch her, which is nearly always, i pick her up and run outside, but by that time she doesn´t have to go, or is too startled i guess. she poops outside the house, but honestly when we are walking (we spend a lot of time outside) she just seems to go exactly where she is. i never scold her after and i have even tried scolding the pee, i just run her outside and say afuera! baño! ALSO on cate training, how much time during the day does she spend in the crate? what is the day schedual like? THANKS, i feel like i am at my wits ennddd

She should be in her crate unless you are playing w/ her, walking her, feeding her. If you can't have an eagle eye's watch on her, she should be in the crate. This doesn't last long, only until she is crate trained/housebroken and can be trusted in the hous. It's better to establish these good habits before it gets out of hand. Once it gets out of hand, it's not good for you or her. Does that help.

I think what I read in a training book was to play w/ them for up to an hour and then take them out. Remember, she is still a baby and does need some quiet time alone in her crate anyway.

Hope this helps! :)

With my puppy when he was 8-10 weeks old I created him 15min- 20min every couple of hours [ I took vacation time so I could be home ] for the first week. Then I increased that that to 60min. - 90 min. for the secomd week.
I always had him sleep in the crate during the night. Just be aware of the following when you start crating :

1. Leave her some chew toys [ nothing she can swallow ]. Maybe a kong with some treats in it.

2. Be prepared to put up with a lot of crying, whining and hell being raised.
Ignore all of that. Don't try and pamper her with things like "ok baby".
Don't let her out until she has calmed down even if the 20min. were up.

3. Don't crate her and then leave the room. It's going to be very stressful being crated and alone. Just be around where she can see you. Then gradually over the period of 2-3 days leave the room for a couple of minutes and return to her. Then in the next little while prolong your absence to 10-15 minutes.

4. You can also notice when she usually lies down to sleep and that would be a perfect time to put her in the crate. This way she will think of the crate as her sanctuary and her own private place.

5. If you are using wire crate, try and cover all but one side of it so it's dimly lit but not dark and isolated.

Basically what you need to do is gradually get her to be used to being alone in the crate, the key word being gradually. Make it fun for her. Introduce new toys in the crate every now and then.

Good luck and let us now how things are going.

This is great info! I am currently crate training a 7week old and it is going great! I believe he is learning when he comes out of the crate it's potty time. We make him sleep in the crate in our room at night, let him out at 6am to use the potty and feed him about 6:20, then play for a bit and potty again around 7am then crate until about 11 or less if someone is there with him, then potty then eat around 11:30am and play and then potty about 12:30pm then crate until 3 or 4pm, potty, eat around 5pm then play, play, play, then potty for the night then crate for the night. It's been going really good and I am confident that bubba is going to be a fast learner. Crate training is the best. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions in our routine they are gladly welcomed!

Have you tried just keeping her on a leash and around you all day? That way she can't sneak away to pee and you can watch for any signs she may be having. What I find works good is starting off slow. Set a timer for 10 minutes and let her run and play with you and then when the time goes off after that ten minutes crate her and set the timer for 20 minutes. When that timer goes off she goes directly outside (carry her if you must). After she pees and poops (if she has to) she can come back in and set the timer agian for 10 minutes. Keep going with that schedule until she is good and not going in the house and then up it 5 minutes every few days. Let her out 15 minutes and after the fifteen minutes out crate her 15 minutes and then she goes right outside agian. Pretty soon she will be able to hold it for half an hour and then you can start extending the time longer that she is out of her crate. It has worked very well for the last two dogs that I have crate trained and they were holding it for half an hour in about 1-2 weeks.

I don't know how it is with small dogs but with large breeds like Labs & GSDs it's always good to have them rest for at least 45min. after eating to avoid any issues with their stomachs and intestines. That's what I do with Roy. He eats and then 1 hour latter he gets his water and playtime or just a walk.

So do I. I always crate my dogs for atleast a half an hour after they finish eating to prevent bloat. With this being a lab it is a good idea if your puppy doesn't get to playing and running around after eating it could get bloat and at the very least you'll be looking at very costly surgeries.

If your only problem is that she gets out of sight why don't you keep her on a leash in the house? You can tie it around your waist or loop it under a chair near you. That way you'll be able to keep an eye on her. Or you could try a portable puppy play pen.

Wow! Didn't know about bloating in dogs after eating. I will definitely crate him after eating atleast for a little while. I would have to crate him because he seems to have so much energy after eating that we were just naturally playing with him but I definitely understand your point and don't want to upset his little stomach. Thankyou so much!
