I can't imagine being in a Wal-Mart (or their parking lot) at 2am. Maybe it's different in the Midwest or rural areas, but from what I've seen of Wal-Mart in my area, it's full of exactly the sort of people I least want to meet in a deserted parking lot at night.

I with ya on this one!
You know Walmarts usually have cameras in thier parking lots. Might want to get ahold of security and see if maybe you can see who hit your car with thier door. Its worth a try!
Ha! Those cameras are FAKE! My hubby got hit in the parking lot a few years ago, and lo and behold..they are fake!

hmm cutting costs eh???

I wish there was a Fed law saying that any company with more than 5,000 hourly employees MUST pay higher than minimum wage and provide benefits.

I have a cousin who is a store manager she said there were several times she was on the verge of quitting simply because of all the BS management has to put up with.

When I was in MA, the big thing with the kids is to spend 24 hrs in Walmart. How that's fun or how they can last that long, I just don't know. They'd brag about how they got their hair, nails, and eyes done and plan on sleeping in the entertainment department and I'm standing there in shock. When I was younger, the only thing Walmart was good for were the late night munchies when everything closed, we would run in and out :lol-sign:

Same here.

I don't even know what it is about Walmart that makes me not like them. But like I said, it's an awesome place to people watch.

Well, considering my hometown is a smaller city where everyone knows everyone else there isn't much to be worried about. In fact even the Walmart in my college town wouldn't scare me in the least at 2 am. Guess I'm really glad to be in the Midwest. I haven't had hardly any of the bad experiences people have mentioned at Walmart.

We are not wealthy enough to have "morals" about where we shop, or to shop the "mom and pop" places. Sorry, but Wal-mart generally has a decent product at a good price. Besides, think of all the poor people we are helping in China. LOL

Just go there early or late. Go there in a good mood and recently fed. Go there with a good friend (or spouse), somebody to help provide the comic relief when some of the many idiots who shop there get in your way or otherwise do something rude.

Heck, Tanya and I usually have FUN shopping there. You usually get to see some "interesting" examples of humanity in their "natural" habitat. Good times.

I'm with you on that one, Puck :)
We don't shop there that often because we go to the Commissary...but if we need something specific they don't have...that's our first place to go....well, usually, because the "town" we live in doesn't even have a Wal-mart...it's in the neighboring town, ca 25 minutes away :p
