Did my good deed for the day and saved the neighbors lab puppy from being hit by a truck. I want to hit them, hard. They keep the puppies locked outside all day, I had my window open and heard the two puppies fighting so I looked out to see what was up in time to see the lab puppy go under the fence. I got outside just in time to yell at her enough that she froze from crossing the street directly in front of an oncoming truck. She's pretty obviously never been socialized, she was barking at me hackles raised (just nowhere close to typical lab puppy behavior) and it took a good bit of persuading to get her to come over to me even with hot dogs. /fail

Aaand the puppies are back outside already. Lovely.

Who knows. They cycle through dogs all the time, last year they were up to 12 dogs and gradually cycled them all out and were back down to none. Then they got a husky, and then a golden retriever, and then a rottie mix puppy. After that they got rid of the husky and added a lab puppy after which they got rid of the golden and added a St. Bernard puppy.

Five minutes after returning their puppy to them the dogs were back out in the yard and remained there until almost midnight tonight despite it pouring down rain and them having no real shelter to speak of.

This sounds like a person I "knew" when I was still in high school, his mother used to buy a new toy pom puppy at LEAST once a year. She used to give them away as soon as they went on heat. Obviously she would always buy a female. Her excuse was she doesn't want a big dog, toy poms should all be girl dogs because they look like girls, and it's too expensive to spay them she would rather just buy a new one.:wall: Glad to say that she doesn't buy any dogs anymore because she hates puppies pooping in her new house...okay then

My neighbors used to let their 16-year-old mix out to roam through town. To top that off, he was both blind and deaf... I wasn't so much upset that he pooped on my front porch and in my front yard as I was that he was always out on the road between our houses and people don't like to drive slowly through town.

These are the same people that let their huge white GSD loose who attacked my sheltie, Callie, nearly killing her - while they were back up in their yard blissfully unaware of my screaming. AND they also kept their lab mix tied outside, leading him to break his chain, run down on the main road, and get killed (they blamed someone who was walking their dog down the road... they dared walk their dog past their house, and according to the neighbors it wasn't their fault that they didn't keep the dog inside where it would've been safe). People... I wonder why some even have pets.
