DEKKA. She is SUCH a great dog.

When they came over on Sunday, we had to figure out the dog situation. I was pretty sure that Ophie would be ok with all dogs, but I wasn't quite so sure about Luke. I didn't think he'd intentionally hurt anyone, but he doesn't realize his size and he can play rough.

We thought it might be ok to let Ophie meet the other dogs. Yeah...
THAT didn't go over so well. Smudge barked at her, and she flipped. I had her on lead, and they didn't get to "meet".

We had brought Dekka in to crate her because we knew Dekka was probably not going to be ok with meeting Ophie and Luke and neither would Kat (she doesn't much care for bigger dogs).
We crate Dekka, and Ophie and Luke went quietly over to sniff her, and Dekka, understandably, does NOT like other dogs in her direct space. She snarked. Ophie was like, "Oh hell no. *SnarkSnarkSnark* And she got serious. I had a hold of her, so it's not like I let her snark back at her in her face. But, Luke.
Luke was in LOVE.
It didn't matter how loudly Dekka snarked at him from the crate, he would match her volume with a bark, play bow, excited spinny-dancy-bow thing.
The dog conversation most likely went as follows:

Dekka-"GTFO, I will kill you if I get out of here."
Luke-"OMGWIFELOVEYOU!!!! LET'SPLAYANDGETMARRIED!!!!!!"
Dekka-"NO. I will kill you."
Luke-"LALALOVEYOU!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3 Let's DANCE and act stupid! ILOVEYOU."

So, yeah.
hahahahahaha.
And Smudgey cracks me up.
I LOVELOVELOVE him.
He has the prettiest coat EVER.

Becca and Ben are FABULOUS. They are awesome to hang out with and chill. We are having so much fun they actually still 'have' us. We're still in a campground in their town that has wifi - h*ll yeah.

We got to see the super secret Ella's workspace.. which was uber cool. Becca thought we were a little special when we started going through her dog's collar buckets. You should see them. Each dog has a rubbermaid bucket! It's heaven.. It's like getting to play dress up, but for dog people. I got to fondle Ella's pretty collars as she has a bucket too.

Things I never thought I'd like I want now It's dangerous. I now need like 5 collars. Seriously.. And that's for Smudge alone.. Cider's getting shafted in this playtime.

Sadly Sitstay, that white leather is either Ophie or Luke's.. I forget which bucket it was out of. Never thought I'd like white leather... but seeing it on him... d@mn. I also really like Lukie's blue vegan leather collar a lot.

There are likely more pics coming, Kerri and Becca took more today as we can't seem to make ourselves leave We plan to make their family poutine for dinner tomorrow night, lol.

Darien is not forgotten. Though at times we sometimes wish He's made great friend's with Becca and Ben's children and doesn't want to chill with the adults.

Getting to see people's newly finished collars is awesome. Sadly our visit is slowing down production time just a teeny bit. We know they need to work, but they are so great to visit with

Luke is a lovebug and Ophie has tons of kisses to share. She says my legs are the best noms evar. Luke is so driven to want to work, we are trying to convince Becca to do rally with him. Please nudge her so she doesn't forget

Oh oh, they even have awesome rats! Coming from me, that says a lot. I won't even touch Kerri's rats.. I've petted her trio and they too won me over.

While we aren't loving Illinois, we are loving the company.

Sorry Stef, I misses you too And Renee, you were awesome to meet as well. I wish we had longer to chill with everyone..
