Today I spent most of the day in bed, feeling just sick. I had the cordless phone with me (which we bought 3 months ago). Wanting a snack, I went to the kitchen, opened the back door for the dogs and then went to eat at the computer.
Suddenly, the phone (the normal one) next to me started beeping. Hmm, weird ring. I took the receiver, and I was on hold... then on conference mode. Wtf? Then it dawned on me - I had left the cordless phone on the bed. I rushed there, and of course it was gone, replaced by a stick (so nice of them).
So I went outside. Boris comes to me right away, and I spot Tips, running in circles with the phone in his mouth. He ran past me a couple times, teasing me. I finally managed to grab him at the third pass, and he dropped the phone. Boris was faster than me, and phone safely secured in his mouth, rushed inside to hide next to the bed. Thanksfully I had no problem getting the slimy thing back, Boris could not resist the ham I got in the fridge.
Now to figure out how to tell my husband why our new phone has dents in it. And I should really have stayed in bed...
