Things are finally starting to look up for me and I got my dream job today!!!!! I applied for a special education preschool teaching job, at the center that I'm currently working at, AND I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I applied last Friday, interviewed on Monday, and was told TODAY!!!!!!! I am so excited and have wanted this for soooo long and I finally got it! And the best part about it is, I'm going to be working with two children that I have spent the past year working with as their Early Childhood teacher, but now I'm going to be their special ed. teacher!!! And not to mention I simply adore these two and have a wonderful relationship with them, so it will be an easier transition for them to the new room! Plus, when my early childhood students that I'm currently working with turn four, they can come to my room and I can spend another year with them!!!

I'm doubling my salary, getting EXCELLENT tuition reimbursement, and doing something that I went to school for and absolutley love! So, starting in January I'm going to be going back to school for my Master's and I'm really excited about that!

Plus, I won a guitar off of ebay and that should be in tomorrow! I am so super happy right now I could pee my pants! Thanks for letting me share :D :D

Careful . . . I'd hate to see you end up being crated until you remember your house manners . . . hard to play a guitar sitting in a crate! :D

Seriously - congratulations! You've undertaken a difficult task that not many people can do, and you've taken it on with love and compassion and joy in your heart and that will be passed on to your students as a light that they will be able to focus on in the dark times of their lives.

OMG, Congratulations!!!!! Believe it or not, that is what I always pictured myself doing in the future! Have you seen the movie The Ringer? It was so funny, all the special education kids were picking on Johnny Knoxville, lol. It's a must see!
