This dog wandered onto my property, so I brought him in.
His owners posted a LOST ad on craigslist, and they are coming to pick him up soon.. he is beautiful and soo sweet :) and they are very happy to find him safe and sound, hes been lost for 2 weeks and they live over 4 hours away... i wish i knew how he founds his way here!
Now hes asleep in my room, kenya loves him and he just wants to hump her lol

and an added surprise, he came here wihth a little friend! thats right.. him and his new buddy the puppy lab mix BOTH escaped his owners home and made it all the way here! Luckily they are safe and happy now waiting for their owners.

luckily they are all getting along well and everyone is friendly

HAPPY EASTER TO ME :)

now a question.. whats the policy on rewards? do i take it.. even if i just found them today? i mean, i could use the money. but i dunno, feels weird.

He's a pretty little sable merle dude! :) Edit: The little Pitty (Lab?) puppy is cute too.

As far as the reward, personally I wouldn't ask for it, but if it were offered to me, I'd take it. For some people, it makes them feel good to give the reward. If I lost a dog and someone found it and kept it safe until I could pick it up, I'd surely give a reward!!

If you collected the dogs, kept them safe, and found and notified the owner, you are certainly entitled to any reward that was offered.

awww... they are cuties, glad their owners are on the way.

As far as the reward that is a personal thing, totally up to you.

I probably wouldnt take one from someone unless doing the good deed cost me something... say I had the dog for days and had to feed it, walk it, bathe it, take it to the HS to be checked for a chip, etc.

Also, it would probably depend on the amount offered, if they really wanted to give me 20 bucks for the effort fine... but if they were offering some really high amount I would feel like I was taking advantage of their love for their animal.

lol im glad they made it here. Their owner sounded so happy, i hope if kenya gets lost she finds a dog lover

it makes me want more dogs like crazy, i mean, you shouldve seen kenya playing with these 2, shes so happy to have doggy friends. she shared her toys, bowls, bed, with NO PROBLEM and they have been playing all day and now they have all crashed in my room

1 twin size bed with 1 person, 1 collie, 1 lab mix and 1 german shepherd.. its a tight squeeze lol

They are both so beautiful! and very lucky they found you. I'm gad they are both safe and are going to be on their way home soon. I would say that lab mix is a lot more pit bull than lab, are they banned where you are? good thing you didn't bring them to animal control. Are they both owned by the same people?

yes they are both owned by the same person, and stuck together through a more than 200 mile journey!

i see a lot of pit in her also, luckily his owner doesnt live around here. if animal control down here wouldve picked this sweet girl up, she wouldve been PTS. she is soo sweet and cuddly!

the collie is awesome, he is such a sweetheart, so gently n kind. I WANNA KEEP THEM!! lol :p

Actually that little black dog looks very boxerish to me. They are both cute!
That sounds good . . . Lab/Boxer mix ;)

And, if you feel funny about accepting the reward, maybe you could donate all or part of it to some kind of good cause . . . like the anti-BSL fight :D

But you are absolutely entitled to accept and keep any reward. You didn't take them in FOR the reward, you took them in to keep them safe. :)

It sounds like you are having a good time babysitting, in any case. You did a fine thing, taking care of them.

The owners did seem happy/releived/excited when i called but it is now almost 9 at night, i found them early this morning, and ever since i called them they have not called back and are not picking up when i call.

its easter, they must be busy, but still.. these are YOUR DOGS. show a little concern

I would be worried too. If my dogs were missing, and someone found them, I would get them immediately. Makes you wonder what kind of home it is.
