:yikes: I found 2 dogs running up the highway today!!! One was a lab and one was a golden. We saw them and they kept running out in front of traffic so we turned around and went back. They were soaking wet from the rain and were terrified. We managed to get the lab to come to us and so we grabbed him by the collar but we couldn't get the golden to come near us. Finally after 5 minutes of trying to coax a scared dog to come to us I told Scott just to put the lab in the back of our SUV and maybe the golden would jump in after him. I was right. She did. So we looked at the tags and there was no name or phone number on them but they were wearing rabies tags from a vet in town. We called the vet and gave her the rabies numbers and she called the lady that owned them. We met the lady at the clinic and here, her and her husband were helping her parents move, and they were going in and out of the backyard getting tools and one of them left the gate open. I am just so glad they never got hit. The had to go about 5 miles down one highway and about 3 down another to get to where they were, and the golden kept running out into traffic. How they never got hit, I don't know, but I am thankful.
