So, Is it too late to say that?

Ok, Its not that i dont want a dog, More like, I DONT WANT A TERRIER!

I couldnt take keely for a walk today. Nor a bikeride. Or a Hike, And she couldnt run around the yard and chase stuff. Because it was raining WAY too much.

She is being CRAZY right now:yikes: Mom and dad are in bed, so i cant play fetch indoors with her. Cause she will wake em' up.

But she has these crazy zoomies thats soon gonna wake them up anyways:rolleyes:

Im SORRRRRRY keely, that it was pouring out today and we couldnt do much. AND im SORRY we dont have a treadmill.. AND im SORRY playing inside does nothing for you. But PLEASE stop taking it out on me.. Shes like a puppy, Shes grabbin' my pants leg and playing tug with them. Shes chewing my toes and eveytime i stand up she decides its play time but shes being obnoxious about it all.

Mom and dad are going to KILL me if they get woken up:mad: Dad more especially.

*sigh*.. But i love her.

Eek! I hate rainy days. Fortunately Marge is relatively low energy in the house so we get through them okay.

Does she know how to fetch? It wouldn't be the same, but you could play fetch in a hallway or something..

Cant play fetch inside.. Maybe with a normal dog it would bre doable.. But with her being, Well.. Her, she makes WAY to much noise.

Luckily Sophie is one of those dogs content with having her ears rubbed and falling asleep on your lap. She's basically really low energy.

LOL, sounds like we have similiar problems, mom and dad are gonna kill you if you wake them up playing, and hubby is gonna kill me if Shane doesn't quit barking in his crate and wakes him up. :yikes: Ahhhh, the joys of the parenthood of dogs.
Consider this good practice for what to do with your children on rainy days. Be creative.

Try getting some like Kongs, or interactive toys where she'll have to use her brain to figure how to get food outta them.

Went jogging in the rain yesterday with Smudge. Took a walk in the rain the day before with Cider. May play agility later today in the rain as we are day like 4/8 of endless rain..

I like to hide cookies around the house and encourage the dogs to sniff them out, frozen kongs are good now and then. Tug can be loud, but it burns energy.

interactive toys are good, hid things under pots and get her to look for them, try doing some simple obedience with her, sit ,stay . down and even roll over, keep her mind active.

and you won't melt if you go out in the rain, put on your welly boots and a mac and go walkies, i've got 3 terriers and they all hate the rain, but once out in it they are fine. and believe me we get plenty rain here in England:lol-sign:

have fun :)

Hey guys..

Wouldnt mind going out in the rain. we always walk in the rain. But yesterday the rain almost hurt it was coming down so hard;) Keely didnt want to go out any more then I did.
She doesnt use her kong:( I wish she would though:mad:
Obediance would have been okay. If she would've paid attention.. I dont think i could get her to stay still long enough if i tried:p

Good suggestions though.

And I know i wont melt;) That is why we have very very very rarely missed a walk, hike whatever on the count of rain..

You definitely have my pity! That's why I went with a boston terrier. Joey is active and playful, but when the weather is bad he's snuggled in right next to me on the couch. I don't think I could handle a full on terrier. A terrier bulldog is the perfect mix for me. :)

Frozen Kong treat

Yeah, if you take some of your dogs dry dog food (see how much fits in the kong) and mix it with yogurt or peanut butter, freeze the Kong, then give it to your dog. It keeps them busy for a while.

Terriers love to use their noses, maybe try hiding treats in different areas of the house and teach her to "find". Take a cupcake tin and let her watch you put a treat in one of the cups, then put tennis balls in all the rest of he cups and lay the tray on the floor, see how long it takes her to take the balls out and find the treat. We get one day of sun for every 4 days of rain, not the greatest simmer.
