third day of 100 or over.

Generally it's not that bad, but we went from weather being in the 70's and the next day it was 102. So I didn't have time to adjust. I think my body is trying to revolt.

I went to the post office and the grocery store and by the time I came back, I thought I was going to pass out. Nope, sure can't handle the heat.

How do you handle the heat?

I can stand heat if there is no humidity and a breeze . Lucky here the last few days !! AC has been off 3rd day. I really hate a closed up house and AC. My '50s brick house is well insulated and stays cool nicely .

I can't handle humidity at ALL and temps over 85 really start to bother me. I have trouble breathing and get really dizzy. I just stay inside as much as possible in the A/C. When I absolutely have to go out to take care of horses, etc. then I usually soak my hair with cold water before I go out so I stay cool for at least a few minutes, LOL.

I've never been a big fan.. it makes me verry very tired. Makes me want to nap all day long with a bazillion fans on me. Now that I've got a little bitty HEATER inside me.. its completely intolerable! I feel like I could pass out when it barely reaches 90. I get so out of breath and lightheaded. And humidity is the worst!

I am not a fan of the heat either. 70s would be perfect for me. The weather has been bizarre this year here, too. It'll be cold and rainy, then 80, then cold and rainy, then 70...you can never tell.
I've been on Prednisone for 6 months now, too, and that makes me have terrible night sweats so I really can't handle the heat right now.

Wetting hair is a good idea!

I also can not handle humidity at all. Awhile back we had some awful, unsual humidity and I thought I was choking every time I went out. Yuck!

Never bothered me until I had heatstroke. AFter that i do not function well at all. I just went out and tried to have a very short training session with Pepper. I felt sick to my stoamch in a matter of minutes and now the headache i have been fighting off all day has gone full blown. I use to love summer above all and now i just pray for frost. No bugs..no ticks...no poison ivy..no heat.

This has been the hottest year ever. Like 104 in Houston a few days, we have been around 99. I am not a good heat person. We do have a breeze but it is still unbearable. Thank goodness for airconditioning.

I stopped cutting my grass 2 years ago .. but it would take me 2 hrs. and I always had a big bowl of water and ice with a towel to drape on my neck after a wipe down . I knew my limits ! Had a heat stroke once and when I felt cold and clammy quit !

Ooooh, that sounds LOVELY.

15 days this MONTH so far were 100+ degrees. Tomorrow probably will be too. The heat indices are near 110 every day too. Even at night we barely go lower than 80.

The AC in my house only cools about 20 degrees.... So if it's over 100 outside, it's over 80 inside.

I have found that it's EXTREMELY important to drink a lot of water. Sodas and coffee dehydrate you, I can always tell when I had a soda because I start feeling the effects of the heat even more. I also have an ice pack that I use when it's just unbearable, but it melts too fast.

the only time i like the heat is when I'm in a pool or at the beach. I hate being hot and having sweaty butt crack. I hate it when sweat drips down the back of my knees or the back of my neck. I would die if i didn't have air conditioning.

Right after I whined about the weather.... We had a rain storm! It was so much fun, I took the dogs and we had a great time playing in the rain and splashing in the puddles. We got good and cold before coming inside. :)

Made me wish - again - that we had a pool. :(

Didn't do much to cool down the temperatures, though, it's nearly 11:00 here - two hours after dark - and still 89 degrees.

I don't handle heat well at all. I hate it. over 70 and I want the AC on. I really try to avoid the outdoors as much as possible in the summer time. I can't handle the heat, can't handle the sun, can't handle the humidity. makes me feel ill.
