Accidents happen. That's why they call them accidents. It's not just little dogs either. My Dobe pulled a few stunts that scared the livin' day lights out of me....like running top speed (Dobes are lightening fast) straight into a very steep hill. Instead of going up the hill, he couldn't get any altitude because he was running so fast and he somehow didn't bend his legs enough to soak up the shock. His head smacked right into the bank and he flipped over, yanking his neck. Another time he ran into the edging of my lawn which is a couple of rail road ties stacked up....ran straight into it because he was looking over his shoulder at another dog. I didn't blame myself for not locking him up and preventing him from doing this. A dog has to have fun. So, whether it's caused by us or by themselves, dogs have accidents.

I'm so glad your little guy is okay. Don't blame yourself.
