the day i found Victor was april 1. I tried to call the number they had listed and was told it was no longer a working. it was the sickest April fool's joke ever. I cried, i really did, not just because i couldn't reach them but i missed Bronki so bad and i just knew this was the one.I called my friend kelly and she said dont' give up. I tried the sherriff's dept, the town vet (closed) everything and no one seemed to know who i was talking about. I was in a funk to say the least. Kelly called me up that evening and said to try this number. SHe had looked up save_our_strays and found the fund raiser Connie Guthrie. SO i called that number that evening adn viola!!! SHe had my dog!!!! SO it will happen if he is the right one for you..i have my fingers crossed and am sending all kinds of good energy your way.
WE drove out there and honestly at first look i thought this dog is a mess. And he was, and he was still the right one. I trusted my earlier feeling, not the one i had looking at this skinny stinky hyper creature in front of me. We had a two hour drive home and my daughter braved his odor and Mary's intense jealousy while holding one dog or the other, she dubbed him rubber neck for his head was everywhere. IT was all a blessing in disguise.
