She was soooooooo pretty too..

She was a welsh pony

with this coloring

Oh how pretty she was..and they only wanted $200.
BUUUT

she firstly was 14..not that that is a bad thing buut
all 14 years of her life shed been doing pony parties (being pulled around) so when let off lead she just stood there (unless someone was walking in front of her)
Ya good for Beau and all but I wouldnt mind having something I can jump on and go..
When we took her off the lead shed just stand there. She was so confused when we were trying to give her a quick lesson.
I did get her to gallop though..the guy said thats to most hed seen someone do on her :D

Just not the horse for me I guess..

But oh well
the search continues :(

I have a very dangerous obsession with Welsh ponies...someday I'm going to end up with a herd of them in my backyard, just for brushing and petting!

With the economy these days, I bet you will be able to find a super pony for a very reasonable price; just keep looking!

I dont think it was pure cause it stood abit taller than that. I could hop on her back from the ground (bare back...no saddle) and she carried me fine.
She did have an attitude. I wouldnt have ever trusted my kids to ride her alone..
That was a big factor in it..

Ya I figured so...Thats what everyone keeps telling me anyways...

She was just super pretty.

My dream horse is an all black 16hh TWH
or
an all black arabian..
:D

Tennessee walkers are for sale all over the place here right now. I might go look at a black mare this weekend. I think she is twelve. I just got one horse and am already looking at another:p

Ask around at feed stores and the vet and farriers too because they know lots of people having tough times willing to let their horses go cheap.

I had a Welsh pony when I was a kid, and yeah, he had a bit of an attitude (fiery, like his color) but he was a lot of fun once we got to know each other. He dumped me three times when I was trying him out, and Mom told the seller we'd take him. Retro birth control?? ;)

She could be purebred - there are 4 classes of Welsh pony and the largest (class D, I think) qualifies as a cob.
