in the leg of the table..it comes down to a v and i can't tell you the number of dogs and kids that at one time or other, their arm or hand stuck in there..so mom and i started talking about other times of stuck and what we used..i told her it might make a good thread..
Aaron got his head stuck in a railing..(murphy's oil soap works like a dream)
in a shirt that was buttoned up..he tried to slip it over his head and forced his head inbetween the buttons on the front..came out choking and said he had his head stuck in the button hole..we cut him out of that one..and in a dresser drawer..climbed in the drawer and stuck his head behind and up then couldnt' get out...mom said w-d 40 would be excellent to try because it cant harm you a bit..anybody else get stuck stories?

Those are funny stuck stories Smkie! The only one I could think of was something that I did that was less than intelligent. I had this mustang and I was driving down the road, the steering wheel had this slats (lack of better word) with holes in them, I guess just for looks. I don't know WHY, but I stuck my finger in one of the holes and it got stuck good. Here I was, driving down the road with my finger stuck in the steer wheel. It was kind of scary and REALLY hard to do turns! All I kept thinking was how stupid I was going to look if I had to have someone help me. I finally managed to yank my finger out, I guess I'd rather have a broken or bruised finger than look that dumb.

Lol memories I don't remember this but my entire family does! We had a deck at our house as a child and i guess when I was 2 or 3 i stuck my head threw the railing and I was stuck so bad they had to cut me out! The deck is forever marked from that day.

I have to tell my story LoL.

Way back, when I was like 11, my dad, my neighbor, his son, and myself were in the barn sheering the sheep. Well it was finally time to sheer this big ole mean ram we had. So we get him in the pen and my dad and the neighbor are sheering him when he begins to buck and got lose, he ran straight at Mark (neighbors son) and he ran, he decided he would try to fit through the gate and all he got was his head through. The ram hit him, I jumped on the ram and got it on the ground, while my dad and the neighbor discovered Marks head was stuck in the steel gate. They had to go and get a pry bar to bend the metal gate. Mark was fine (although his ego was a little hurt) and we all had a good laugh.

I have nothing about being stuck, nothing.Good thing everyone is okay though!

Did you ever see those thing that looks like a gate and goes into your barn?It has bars that move from side to side and they can lock? When I was in like, first grade,we went to a farm and I saw one there....strange, because the horses looked the size of a bulldozer machine!Well, we all got to milk a goat, and it's head was put inbetween two bars, and the bars locked.

The uses of the head locking thing:

shearing sheep
milking goats
milking cows
If it is small enough, milking rabbits(they sell rabbit milk in some stores, I saw it on TV and in a book)
If you need to keep a sheep, goat,or cow out of the way.
It may work on horses if you are grooming them or tacking them up.Maybe if you are re-doing their shoes.Although, I think they sell a rack that does that.It lets the horse slide into it, and wooden or padded metal bars are on both sides of the horse, and ropes go across the other two sides, and the horses head thing,(fogot what it is called!) gets chained to the two poles sticking up in front of them. Then you do whatever you want, as in grroming, tacking, cutting the horses mane and tail,re-shoing, and other things you may need to do,like giving them a shower!

Great stories !!!!!! Yes, Grammy got stuck but good. I had just gotten out of a shower and went down to the kitchen to get some ice and water. I had a towel wrapped around me and the phone rang... I grabbed the phone and proceeded to get ice from freezer....the arm was caught, so with left hand I tried to trip the ice machine... it came down on my fingers and I was caught. I couldn't hang up the phone ( not cordless ) so told my friend what was happening and put it down. Called daughter Jan who finally heard me.... by now I had dropped my towel and was standing in my birthday suit, left fingers getting frozen , friend hearing me yelling... It needed 2 hands to hold the jaws of the ice maker and I couldn't do it with my right hand. Jan came down....practically wet her pants laughing...explained to my caller and I got freed. There's another one I'll post later !

anyone listen to Garrison Keiller..on his story tape Summer he has a wonderful story of a farmer that was stuck in the shed..it is one of my abosolute favorites..
i disliked my older brother intensly..he was not the least bit nice to me (7 years older) and wished that i had never been born,,proving that on a daily basis. So paybacks were heck..he had his army men all set up on the pool table..and i ran down with the pool cue and knocked them all down and then hid under the steps..he saw me and pushed the concrete blocks infront of the hole that i had crawled thru..mom found me an hour later...that is the only stuck i have personally been thru..to this day mom denies that my brother was mean..but when i was little and would try to tell her she would only say "if your going to play with your brother your going to get hurt" no kidding.

When I was a teenager I was out with friends down by the lake in March. Somehow we got to discussing who was brave enough to wade. I decided I would do it. After all, winner got $5. I kicked off my shoes and out I went out into the water. All at once I sunk! I couldnt move, was totally stuck. Everytime I tried to lift a leg it was like a suckion cup sucking me back in. One of my friends then had to kick their shoes off and come out to get me.

Then when my youngest daughter was little we was getting groceries. As I was putting groceries on the moving belt, she put her hand it to feel it move. Her hand went right under the guard and got stuck! They had to get the tools and take the thing apart to get her unstuck. She had marks on the hand but was fine.

ROFLMAO! Those are funny - especially yours, Grammy. I'm still giggling and my cheeks hurt. :D

My sister sort of got stuck in the van.

My Dad had this big old Dodge van he used for a work van. Fey called it the grungemobile and would make him let her off two blocks away from school so her little rich friends wouldn't see her getting out of it

Well, one of the little idiosyncrasies that van had was that the inside door handle on the front passenger's side didn't work. You couldn't roll down the window either. Another quirk was that the gas gauge didn't work. My Dad ran out of gas on a regular basis . . .

We'd gone somewhere in the van, and Mom was sitting in the back with me because Fey had been throwing such a tantrum in the back (she was 14) that Mom let her have the front seat just to shut her up. Just as we were pulling into the gas station, the van ran out of gas - too far and uphill, so we couldn't roll it on to the pump.

Dad got a container of gas and poured it in the tank, but it still wouldn't start, as the carbuerator was dry and needed to be primed. So, he unlatched the motor cover in the cab and pulled the cover back, effectively trapping Fey in the front seat. When Dad started priming the carbuerator, Mom asked me what he was doing. I told her, "He's priming the carbuerator . . . just like he did when he set Jackie's truck on fire . . ." All this time I was unlatching the back door and getting out.

Mom almost knocked me over getting out.

Fey started to realize she couldn't get out . . .

Mom and I stood there and laughed at her for a bit before we took pity on her and opened the door for her . . .

My dad tells a story of when he was a kid he and his little brother use to get on the nerves of their much older brother. They was pestering him one day and my uncle got mad, picked them both up and hung them by their pants on a hook on the barn door while he did his chores.

I also got my finger caught in an electric beat too. Luckily there was someone building a cabinet in the garage right off the kitchen. I was beating some batter and sosmehow my finger got caught in the blade I grabbed the beaters with my other hand to stop, but couldn't free the finger. When the guy's saw quit making noise, I yelled and he came i and turned it off......he said if it ever happened again, to twist around until the plug comes out of the wall . Luckily wasn't cut or anything broken....BTW I was very young !
