Yesterday we took Harley to the dog park. When we got home we noticed he was limping. I checked his paws & it looks like he skinned it. He skinned it enough that it's sore but not bleeding. Should I put a bandage on it or leave it alone?

Thanks,

You might put some Bag Balm or some sort of pet-safe salve or lotion on it to make it feel better, heck even some aloe vera and then just keep Harley quiet for a few days to let them heal. He probably won't feel like a whole lot of romping for at least a day anyway.

help for skinned paw

Hi: You can put some EMT gel - you may be able to find it at the local pet store. It is a liquid bandage... made of collegen. You rub it on and it forms a protective area and allows the skin to breath.

You can also find something like this at the supermarket isle for Health and Beauty...It would be near the human bandaids... it will say - invisible bandage or something like that.

If you can find the EMT gel or spray.... You will Love it.
It is one of the best things I have every used. I get mine thru Revival health catalog or Revival's web site...

I hope this has helped:

Thank you for suggestions. We put aloe vera on it & it worked really well. It's all healed now. We did make sure that he didn't lick he paw while it was on there.
