Some of you may remember helping me in this thread here that I posted last week. Well, thanks to all your wonderful replies, help, and encouragement, my husband and I were able to find a great fit for our family within the weight limit! (well, she weighed in at 37lbs, but I was ready to fight with my fists if our apt had a problem with it ;) thankfully they didn't).

So, meet our new girl Tika! Best guess is some sort of Beagle/GSD/Terrier/something mix?? Could be anything. 2 yrs old. She has a little white bit on the very tip of her tail, and epic forehead wrinkles. Unique ears. Epic toy destroyer. Overall the sweetest darn personality ever and so far a fantastic dog! Great play drive, great energy, and great "off" switch. We love her to pieces!

Please let me know if the pics are too big! Thanks for looking at my sweet girl :)

oh she is a cutie...and looks like she has a bit of mischief in her! I think she looks like a hound/pit mix.

Wow, she's gorgeous!!! Congrats on getting her, and good luck with her! I'd guess pit/beagle for her breed.

thanks for all the sweet compliments!! I definitely see pit in her too, but that can be our little secret. ;)

She's been a great dog so far, did wonderfully at the vet and the groomers (had to try and get that kennel smell off of her from the pound!) and our biggest challenge so far as been leash training her. We've made significant progress with the "when she pulls turn around and go the other way immediately" method and she's 80% improved. She caught onto that almost instantly and the difference was immediate.
Starting clicker training with her today so hopefully that will speed things up as I can offer her tangible rewards that she understands.

Her only downside is she is only moderately food motivated. She is very toy motivated, but almost to the point of being toofocused on the toy, so we're going to try and find a balance somewhere.

Anyway, sorry for the rambling, thanks again for all the sweet words! :)

WOOHOO! She's beautiful. I love that look in her eye. She looks a wee bit cheeky.
