Hunter has a vet appointment tomorrow evening (tuesday) at 8:30pm, but if anyone has any clues as to what may be going on I'd like to hear them please.

A couple nights ago my husband found a lump on hunters side. I didn't really feel anything so I didn't really think anything of it (over protective daddy and all).

Then tonight he showed me it's getting bigger. Also we found another on the back of his neck. I have NO idea what this could be???

These are fluidish lumps in the skin. They may be from injections when he had parvo but I do not believe he was ever sub Q'd and I thought his meds were all give through the IV... even if they are from injections the one on his hip is big and getting bigger??? What will happen to it?

Also Hunter has not been eating well. In fact he's almost not eating (maybe a cup of food per day and he was eating 3.5 to four). I was going to post about that but didn't want to panic. He was on the canned food from the vet for about 6 days. About day 2 we started mixing it with his puppy food. He ate really well, and was up to 3.5 cups plus a can a day. It was after we ran out of that that he slowed down eating so we thought he might be upset he didn't have wet food anymore.

He's not lethargic but he's a very lazy puppy. He plays maybe 1-2 hours a day broken into two or three periods.

What I don't know is if this is normal for puppies? Is it normal to slow down eating? Is it normal to be a lazy pup? I know the lumps are not normal.

We do not want Hunter to be sick again! *sob*

awww poor Hunter..don't try to stress too much although I know it's hard.
I'm sorry to hear Hunter hasn't been well. The only reason I answered this post, and I"m no expert by any stretch, but our Max had lumps too a short while ago, on his ears and one on his flank. The vet didn't like the look of them at all. Max wasn't ill in any other way though, he was healthy, eating normally and oblivious that were going nuts with worry.

Max's were sent away for testing, and turned out thank god to be harmless fatty lumps, which were removed easily.

With a little luck that's all thats happening with Hunter, or something similar.

All I can do is send all my good vibes, and think healthy thoughts for Hunter, as the lovely people here on Chaz did for Max and my family.

Please let us know what happens

Hugs

Well it does seem a bit un normal to be lazy as a pup but being that he was such a sick pup awhile ago maybe not. I sure hope the lumps are not serious but I would get him to the vet asap. Not eating being lazy and having lumps doesn't sound real good. A trip to the vet will put your mind at ease either way. Sending good vibes to baby hunter and hugs too.

Thanks guys.

Here are pics of the one on his back/side. I couldn't get the one on his neck to show in a pic. He does not like me touching it.

And hunters "I don't feel good" face. :(

He ate a total of 3/4 a cup of food yesterday (chicken soup puppy food). It's time for his feed again (when hubby goes to work) and last nights food is still in the bowl.

I knew something was wrong but I did think maybe he's just still off from being sick. I hope we didn't let it go too long. The lumps are growing so fast.

Thanks for the replies.

oh he is such a real beauty. Hope this turns out to be nothing but maybe a little leftover from the parvo and just not quite his perky self. All good vibes going to this brave little fighter.

When my husband got up and took him outside he came back in playfull. He ate his food and a bit more... drank some water... and we played a few minutes. Now he's laying down again. I feel better he ate because we cannot take him to the vet till tonight.

Sorry to spam update... I'm just sitting here being worried and trying to figure out what everything means but trying not to touch his sore spots too much. I really appreciate you all listening.

Just turned out to be a reaction to the injections he recieved while in the hospital with parvo... Will be fine soon enough...

On another note, we took Snowball in and had him put to sleep... Poor little guy lasted 8 months with cancer, lost both eyes as well due to it... We (Sugarglider and I) decided he has had enough...

Draquiden,

Firstly, may I give you my condolonces to you and Sugarglider, on the loss of your precious snowball. RIP Snowball, and fly free with your wings.

And I"m glad to hear that Hunter is going to be ok :) That is fantastic news. That pic of him is beautiful, he is so adorable. On looking at the lump Max's were completely different and much smaller. Anyway i'm so pleased and sad for you at the same time. All my good thoughts to you all
