Well I've been out all day at York. My mum made me drive there to practice before I start college so I know which way to go, I'm going to be driving there each day.
Anyway we get there and the rest of my family want to shop so we set off round the shops. I don't really like shopping so I wasn't really enjoying myself but eventually they decide to stop and eat at Subways. The hunt begins.
The first Subways we go to is just a takeout so we get directions to the next one. After walking around for what seemed like ages we found it. We go inside and try to order, I say I'd like a veggie patty and she says they haven't got any but they will have some tomorrow. How is that going to help us, we aren't going to be there tomorrow
. She says maybe try the third Subway.
Anyway off to Subway number 3. We get there after getting lost and go and order. Yet again they have no veggie patty. Thats fine then my mum decides to order me cheese and calls me over to check if thats ok. I don't mind but ask if the cheese is suitable for vegetarians. The woman hesitates and states she thinks so. At this point she's already started to make it. She asks another guy and he doesn't seem certain so I politely state I would like to withdraw my order and let my mum carry on hers. At this point I can see a guy behind us in the que obviously sniggering at us.
I go and sit down and leave my mum while she placed her order. I hear her politley suggesting to the guy that it would be nice if they could find out whether the cheese is suitable for vegetarians as there are a lot of vegetarians out there. At this point the guy behind her in the que buts in saying 'its only cheese, its not going to have any meat in it'. It wasn't even any of his buisiness and my mum turns round and tells him this. She collects her order and comes over to me.
At this point I am less than impressed at that guy, it had nothing to do with him and he had no idea what he was talking about! (http://www.vegsoc.org/info/cheese.html)
Then to make me even more annoyed at him when he leaves the shop he makes rude gestures towards my mother!! I really had to stop myself from running after him, how dare he do that!
