I have a friend who runs a tiny charity called European Animal Welfare from the UK. She basically runs it singlehandedly.

As often as she can a year she drives to Spain and picks up as many dogs as she can to bring to the UK to help find them homes.

Most of the dogs she gets are ones she has taken from the towns dog pound. Dogs get picked up off the street and given a week in the disgusting pound there.

There are even loads of puppies.

I myself own two dogs that have been rescued and they're fantastic dogs. Ive fostered many and they're as good as any other dog from a usual rescue.

What my friend does, I believe to be awe inspiring. She has done some amazing things and saved so many lives.

One of the dogs she brought over for me had to be kept in a boarding kennel and my friend had no money left, so she gave the owner all her jewlerry, and its thanks to that I have a fantastic friend.

If anyone in the UK is interested I have a few photos of dogs that are looking for homes at the moment.

The dogs usually appear to be GSD crosses however there is a real mix.

If you're interested in any more information Id be glad to tell you everything I can.
