dewclaws are on both front feet.. which one is she limping on?

Usually they remove the dewclaws when they are still puppies as well.

Maybe you should call the vet who did the surgery and ask him/her? They would probably know whats best.

Ever since we got chloes dew-claw removed it seems she is always limping on the foot it came off of. Is some thing wrong?
How long ago was it removed? Is there any swelling, tenderness, warmth on that spot? Honestly we need more information. :S

Best bet is always to head back to the vet and talk with them.

(Can I also suggest making the title of your post something that we can tell what the post is about? For example: Dew Claw Question?)

I really doubt it has anything to do with the dew claw. And if it does you should have taken her to the vet years ago. Take her to the vet and get it checked out so she's not in pain.

I agree with this totally, Saje.

You need to check her foot for other signs of injury. Check between her toes and in between her pads, make sure there's nothing sticking in there. If you don't find anything, I'd (or get your parents to) make a vet appt on Monday morning.

She probably just landed on her feet wrong. If she continues limping over a couple of days, I would make a trip to the vet. Have you looked at her paw?I'd just watch it over the next couple of days before spending the bucks. It definately has nothing to with the dew claw.
