That's true, China isn't exactly known as a strict guardian of intellectual property..

Heck, they even rip off cars wholesale, what's a few forum posts.

The site could very well be owned by someone in the US, and just hosted over there.

In any case, our laws should apply (in fact, most laws, internationally, are very similar) although, as I understand it, it can be tricky to get them to comply. The original owner of the post/picture owns the copyright in their country, so those laws apply. Getting it done, is a whole separate problem though.

I think the only way to avoid this is to have a private forum, which isnt' so much fun, its harder for new people to find you. I am a member of a few bittorent sites that you have to be invited to get on. Nothing I have posted in a forum there comes up.

Dober, you are right. This really explains all those questions posted by that other person, specific questions about different types of dogs and illnesses. I remember you suspected it was Dogmation. When pressed, the person said his/her/its "clients" ask questions and they get the answers here. So what was happening is he/she/it was trolling our site and archiving the specific answers to questions people would ask that he/she/it doesn't have a clue about. Some "certified" dog "behaviorist". LOL!

yeah it is sucky.. but Chazhound has contacted them and requested that they remove out content from their site... we just need to check back there every so often to make sure that they dont keep putting our stuff up on their site...
