Ok, so this past weekend we had 4 herding trials (2 per day).
Saturday, "Lynyrd" had an evil duck in his started duck run, so Kim (my herding handler/trainer) stopped it, which was wise. His started sheep run, however, was AWESOME!!!
"Lynyrd" placed FIRST in Started Sheep "A" course with a score of 94.5 for the second leg of his HSAs title... AND ......took HIGH IN TRIAL!!!! I thought I would faint! This is my first HIT on ANYTHING in almost 17 yrs of being "in dogs"!
But wait, there's MORE!!!
Sunday, "Lynyrd" conquered the evil duckies and placed 3rd from the Started Duck "A" course class with a score of 94.5!!!! He had tied for 2nd place, but missed it by 15 seconds.
Then for the sheep trial, "Lynyrd" again had a FANTASTIC run! He placed 2nd with a score of 93.5 to FINISH his HSAs title!!!!
AND.....took RESERVE HIGH IN TRIAL!!!!!!
To say I"m on cloud 9 is an understatement!!!
His breeder is super excited as this is the first herding titled dog from her breeding program
Thanks, ya'll, for letting me brag a little!
Here is a link to his HIGH IN TRIAL picture with the judge and his trainer/handler extraordinaire, Kim
"Lynyrd" is now known as:
HIT/RHIT/Multi-Group Placing CH Bernkastel's CallMe Th' Breeze HSAs HT PT RN CGC !!!
We have more trials coming up July 4th weekend, hopefully he will finish his started "A" course duck title then, as he only needs one more leg!
