Tonight the board of directors at the shelter I work at passed a motion to fire the current shelter director. They then passed a unanimous motion to hire me as the shelter director!!! I'm so thrilled! Our shelter really needed help under the previous directors management (or lack thereof). Hope I'm up to the challenge. First big battle tomorrow with the president of the board about rehiring an employee who quit after three years of dealing with the worst work conditions ever!

Thanks guys! My first day as official director was great! Did a bunch of reorganizing, made a tv appearance with marmaduke to promote him as needing eye surgery and got donations within 10 minutes of being on tv! Today I need to hire a new cleaner and reorganize the office schedule. I'm tired already but thrilled things are looking up for the Arf animals and organization!
