Whether it be with a partner or a friend,....how much sh*t do you take before you call time.

A few years ago I considered myself to be very tolerant or niave, however ya wanna put it, to people walking all over me.

However as time goes on Im finding myself becoming less and less able to carry peoples cr*p.

I would always try and sort out a situation and smooth things over if anything negative arose,....but always felt I had the situation turned around on me somehow so that it lead to me thinking that I had cause it in the first place.

I sometimes wish I could be like some friends of mine that can just cut loose any unwanted baggage,...but as the years go by Im finding that this seems to becoming easier.

So how do you deal with these people,....do you give em chances or can you just burn them out of your life???????

I'm a very tolerant and forgiving person. If someone does something to wrong me, generally I feel a bit upset about it(usually more towards sad than anger) and then attempt to brush it off. When it comes to music I don't like, things people do that annoy me, behavior that I don't like.. pretty much I can be tolerant about all those things. I'm a laid back person.. I'm not a reactive, bitchy individual. I don't like yelling or fighting, but I WILL stand up for myself if I feel it is important to.

That is a hard question. I can be EITHER way.

I am pretty tolerant of people I care about, if they hurt my feelings or tick me off I usually tell them how I feel or what they did.........I don't "argue" about it.

Now something I am NOT tolerant about is others hurting the people I care for........I will be "in your face" so fast you won't know what happened.

Whether it's my real life or cyber life, if I feel like someone I care for is being hurt.........LOOK OUT.

I guess it hurts ME MORE to see others hurt needlessly.

I'm pretty patient with most people. But there's a line (and it varies on how much I like them) when they cross it, I'm likely to either tell them exactly what I think of them, or refuse to have anything further to do with them, ever, or both. Its probably not the best way, but its just the way I've always been.

I can be described in a similar way. ^ However, I don't associate being tolerant and being walked all over as the same thing. The two actually don't cross paths in my minds framework. I suppose, that's because I stand up for myself when needed, but that does not negate my ability to remain tolerant, as I'm a pretty tolerant person. There have been very few times in which I have been so upset to be rocked to the core... and those times add up quickly and those people, if it happens to be the same person, well, shame on them, because I don't take that.

I am, though, utterly devoted to my friends and loved ones, and if I feel they are being hurt in some fashion, I am all over it. I stand up for what I believe is right and sometimes that means standing up for actual people. Like Coop, it hurts me to see my friends hurting and well, I just don't like it! Hmph! :p
