I noticed a rash on my 9-month-old puppy's armpit and chest. There's an area of small, clear bumps that are red at the base of each bump. It almost looks like acne. They don't seem to be bothering him much (he's not scratching or licking them). They've been there for a couple of days.
He likes to play in the weeds in the backyard, so I'm guessing it's some type of reaction from a plant he brushed up against.
Is there a good, all-purpose rash remedy I can try before I take him to the vet? I hate to spend $40 only to have them tell me to give him Benadryl.
