My parents had a tank for some very pretty long finned goldfish that spent the summers in the ornamental pond and the late fall/winter/spring in the tanks

Tank Size: I 'think' they were all 25-30 gallons

What do you feed:general gold fish pellets

How often do you feed:My mom fed her upstairs tank once a week, my Dad ever day. My mom never lost a fish but my dad would loose at least one a winter

Types of fish: Mixed African Mbuna Cichlids

What do you feed: Cichlid pellets and Cichlid Flake

How often do you feed: Twice daily

Do you ever fast your fish: No, because the mothers are mouth brooders, and before they start to brood they NEED to eat and eat well. Plus, if I fast them, they'll eat each other instead.

Ok..

Tank one:

250L Or Roughly 66G..

Various Tetra's, Neon's in 3 colours, Penguins, Ghosts, And two other types that I can't remember the name of, it was fancy and latin.. ;)

2 Pleco's

I think I am up to about 80 or so fish in there, but they are only teeny..

I feed every day, Tetra Pro colour crisps to enhance colour in ornamental fish, and every other day I put the Pleco tablets in for them to suck on..I feed daily otherwise there are casualties..

About 5 years it's been running..

Tank 2:

35L or roughly 9G..

3 minature lionhead/ Ryukin goldfish.

I feed them normal goldfish flakes, and sometimes goldfish pellets to change.. Again I feed them a small amount daily..

They've been there for over a year, Florent bought me the tank as a present, so I could have fish in the bedroom.

Tank 3:

20L or roughly 5G..

My little Beta buddy..

Again I feed him daily with specific beta food.. He's not been in there long, I did originally have a Japanese fantail goldfish in there, but he outgrew it and ended up outside in the pond.

And lastly.. My pond..

1100L or roughly 290G..

There are.. Koi's, Fantails, ordinary goldfish, Lionheads, and a Sturgeon in there..

They are just coming out of hibernation, so I feed them when it is warm, but in the summer they eat like there's no tomorrow, and in the winter nothing at all.

30 gal.

various tetras, pladys, guppies, cat fish etc

twice a day (but will feed a couple times each time....no more than they can eat in about 5 minutes)

When there are new babies, I feed several small meals a day to keep the adults feeling full so they don't tend to go after the babies as much. (use to use a breeding trap, but mostly now I just let them hide in the plants)

How long have I been doing it this way? Well....when I was a kid, teenager and young adult, I've had aquariums. My Dad basically taught me about fish as he had had aquariums. We had several when I was young. Then I went a long spell without...when I was married. Now, in this house, I've had one set up for about 3-4 years.

20gal. Guppies, Mollies and Corys'.
I feed twice a day, tropical flakes, dried krill and blood worms a few times a week.
They are fasted if I absolutely cannot feed them, but if they are fasted too long, I loose babies.
