My puppy is about 12-13 weeks and about 15+ pounds.

Recently I've been busy on the computer a little during the day. I usually get up around 10pm and sometimes spend an hour or so on the PC. My puppy is up for awhile and I usually play with him for 30-45 min then go back down to my computer.

Most of the time when I'm on my PC, my puppy is either resting or sleeping. I don't want him to become a couch puppy and get lazy and fat...which is why I'm hoping it's normal/good for them to be sleeping a lot at this time.

I'm not sure how much he sleeps while i'm at work for 8-9 hours...probably a lot as there is not much else for him to do. I'm also starting to take some online classes at the end of Sept which will take more of my time. So I'm wondering if he's sleeping/resting too much because I'm not playing with him

Is there anyone else living in your home that can interact with the puppy when you are not around? IMHO - Puppies need a lot of stimuli, a lot of exposure, playtime and effection. I also work but find time either lunch or breaks to go home and check on him and if I am not at home, my roommates or bf take him out and spend time with him.

Puppies that age sleep A LOT! They are growing and changing so fast, and their bodies need plenty of sleep. In no time at all you will sometimes wish that your pup would sleep more ;)

Katie is about 8 or 9 months, and she sleeps a lot. She plays a lot too though. But all I have to do is say the word walk and she could be in a dead sleep snoring and that would wake her up!
