Do your dogs like each other? Do they actively enjoy playing, snuggling, or hanging out together? Do they just tolerate one another at most?

Briz doesn't snuggle with anyone including myself, he'll occasionally play with Ru if Ru initiates it, but he really doesn't care about that tiny pink dog. Ru likes and sometimes follows Briz, but was joined at the hip with my foster chihuahua. Uly is oblivious and ignores Ru's attempts to play, I don't even think he knows how to play.

Brisbane actively dislikes Uly, he can't stand derpy dogs with no body awareness. I can see it in his eyes when Uly bonks into a doorframe or trips over his own feet. Briz rolls his eyes and retires to his crate in a huff.

Cynder tolerates Abrams loud, clumsy, brash existence. She doesn't like to be left alone without him, she lets him get away with murder, and *sometimes* he's fun to play with...but he's that annoying "little" brother whom she wishes would just lay down and leave her the f*** alone most of the time.

Abrams loves Cynder, but he thinks she's broken. He'd think she was a much cooler dog if she would actually interact with him. He tries so hard, even politely most times, and she just snubs him. Crushes his poor little soul. He's even gone so far as to offer her his precious toys and she still won't play, poor guy.

Kobe is mostly indifferent to Syl. He plays with her but doesnt actively seek it out.

Syl likes Kobe but if I'm doing anything besides sitting perfectly still and holding my breath, Kobe doesn't exist.

The only interactions that occur are between Juno and Cajun. Otherwise there is a lot of ignoring between dogs. Which is fine/preferable.

With Juno & Cajun there's a lot of this
IMG_4795 by cinSun9, on Flickr

But also plenty of this (this is called me trying to get ready in the morning)

There's never issues though, at worst Cajun just plays too rough with Juno, but I think it bothers me more than it bothers Juno.

They can all snuggle together, they play bitey face, etc. Zoie gets a bit annoyed with Fiona, and Romeo gets a little annoyed with Fiona if I don't manage it.

Zoie/Romeo/Skye are like best old friends honestly. Never ever fight. Fiona adds a different element, she's sharp, and tries to control them. They haven't really gotten into any fights, there was one thing with Skye over a higher value bone but I'm careful about that now (and they can munch on low value stuff like antlers next to each other). Fiona did have a thing about controlling doorways at my Mom's house, she would bite the other dog's flank when excited and going into a room or going outside. She requires management :).

They don't like to snuggle, but otherwise seem to like each other quite a bit. Kili adores Summit. If I call him she goes looking for him. They play usually once a day.

Gambit and Gimmick are buds. They snuggle inthe same bed and play with eachother.

Gimmick and Quid are besties. The want to spend all of their time together being crazy boys.

Quid loves Gambit, and Gambit snubs him. Its sad, because they were close the first time I fostered Quid, but Gambits kind of an ass.

The paps adore wach other for the most part. Mia gets a bit rough but they settle disputes easily. They cuddle and bitey face and play chase.

Both paps wish Hank would go back where he came from. I've caught him and Summer snuggled the last couple days. Mia hates him. This morning she would t get off the Bed because she knew he was there in the floor. Like Fiona he guards doors and likes to bite at dogs when he can predict where they're going. So we've had to do work teaching him to not guard the bed or the hall. It's not aggressive it's just very controlling... He also plays real rough and doesn't read their back off signals well. They both screech at him and he riles up more. Yeah...just a lot of management. He's learning more and more to ignore them. I am hoping for them ignoring and coexisting.

Pip... oh, Pip. Pip doesn't like puppies or goofy dogs AT ALL so it took a long, long time for he and Squash to work up to a state of mutual tolerance which is still fragile inside the house. In the yard they are getting to be downright chums, they will hang out together and even play at times but I'm not sure I would say they exactly "like" each other. Pip and Maisy are like friendly acquaintances.

Squash and Maisy, on the other hand, are BFFS 4EVAH. They play together, they snuggle together, they nap together. They are ridiculous and adorable.

Em + Shadow + Copper = everything is hunky dory. Good pals, all play together.

Bloo + Em = Em really wishes Bloo would go back where she came from. They like to zoom in the yard, at least.

Bloo + Shadow = Shadow is feeble and unsteady and this makes Bloo uncomfortable. Sometimes Shadow's quick, unnecessarily erratic/frantic movements make Bloo want to bite her.

Bloo + Copper = Copper is kind of oblivious. Occasionally annoyed, but just looks at me sadly to deal with it.

Bloo is a very overwhelming dog.

My dog's dynamics are complicated.

Zuma likes dogs when she has something to gain but never likes them touching her, or being near her. She has been known to cuddle accidentally with Zinga and Mighty Mouse on occasion.

Zinga loves the other dogs. Her favorites to play with are Zip and Zuma. She will cuddle with any of them.

Zip Tie loves all his girls, he is a big instigator for play but doesn't typically cuddle. Him and Edgar are working through a rough patch in their relationship right now, they started as the best of friends but now that Edgar is getting older, the dynamic has changed.

Mighty Mouse is weird with the other dogs, I think she thinks she's a herding dog because she loves to tag them as they run by. Nobody appreciates that, so Mighty doesn't have a lot of friends. She has played with Zip quite a bit though.

Taboo is fun police to the extreme. Zuma is like the Chief of Fun Police and Taboo is like that new, over eager recruit who has to be all up in everyone's business. On the flip side, she cuddles and plays with everyone too.

Edgar is the annoying little gremlin brother who is actually winning over everyone slowly. Even Zuma has played with him.

Funny as I was just thinking about this with mine. Knarly co-exists with Ro...he doesn't overly care for him, but he 'allows' him to live here. Every so often, Ro will try to get Knar to play and his efforts are in vain as he 'chow bows' and flops to his back snorting...Knar just stands there, staring blankly. It's rare there is ever any tension, but every so often Knar will grr and snap and Ro is great here, just shrugs it off and steps back or ignores his old man grumpies.

Mick and Murph are brothers, get along well and rarely have spats.

Typical behavior - Murph is Chief Ear Washer, Burr-puller and wrestling buddy

On the other hand, there's Mick's opinion of Riley. Unfortunately, Mick is a paper tiger and Riley has his number. They tend to ignore each other, but sometimes, Riley will bully Mick.

Riley and Murph play together every day. FYI: Winter is the only time of the year Murphy will get in the pool. He likes to sit on ice, so I leave it out.

Kimma doesn't really LIKE anyone, but she doesn't hate them either. She wishes she were an only dog. Back when we first got Bubbles, the two of them would sometimes cuddle but not so much any more unless it's purely accidental. She has taken to play wrestle/bitey face with Jari about once a day lately, which is adorable.

Bubbles likes everyone just fine, but really prefers people.

Pen is great with the girls, but once Jari turned 1, all bets were off with that relationship. I still bring the girls to my in-laws to visit him, and he's getting along GREAT with my in-laws' Finkie.

Jari loves everyone and just wants to play all the days. Unfortunately for him that doesn't happen very often hahaha.

Gusto adores Meg. Meg likes Gusto.

They don't really play together anymore. Meg played with him a ton until he was about 6 months; Gusto is still a huge fan of dog play, but I just give him play dates with other dogs who enjoy it. Every once in a while Meg will give in to the begging and play chase or tug with Gusto for a bit, but it isn't common. Usually she just ignores him.

Generally the only times they sleep together are when we are watching TV on the couch or in bed at night. Otherwise, Meg has declared that all the dog beds in the house are hers, so she sleeps on those and Gusto has a few weird spots he's allowed in. Meg sleeps near the foot of the bed at night; Gusto under the covers. It cracks me up to watch him crawl under the covers until he can curl up pressed against Meg - with the blankets between them. They both consider that acceptable.

Where I really see them enjoying each other is out hiking. When they go off chasing something, you can see them checking in on each other to make sure they have their back-up. Whether they are chasing, treeing, digging, or killing (poor muskrat), they are very clearly working together as a team.

All three will cuddle together. And all three are great about sharing toys, treats, and food.

Morrison and Leia absolutely LOVE each other. They play pretty much all day and when they aren't doing that they are snuggling. I often find them like this.

It didn't start out that way. When I first brought Leia home at 13 weeks old she was pretty terrified of bigger scary dog. But he was good about giving her space (he has always been great with smaller nervous dogs). But as time went by he seemed to wear her down and she realized that all he wanted was a friend. It is pretty cute to watch them wrestle and tug o war on toys. He always lets her win :p.

Fae is alright with Morrison and Leia. It just depends on her mood at the time. She won't play with Morrison period, and when he and Leia play she will sometimes get nervous and feels the need to be "the fun police".

Fae and Leia play quite a bit as well. Sometimes Leia will annoy Fae with her typical puppy jackassery but it's never anything major. I have never had to deal with a real fight or aggression between any of them.

Hambone and Bean are bestest buds. They play constantly together. Luce, when she plays, plays nicely with either of them.

Steve is the odd man out. He's really not that keen on other dogs. Every once in awhile he'll play with another dog (usually Bean, sometimes Ham) but it's not often.

I have major major tension between him and Luce right now that I don't like one bit.

Well, Rowan hates everyone, so...

He's pretty tolerant of Riff. I have to give him credit for it. He lets Riff bump into him, sleep next to him, sometimes even lets him steal Rowan's toys. That's pretty good considering that when I brought Riff home, Rowan would go after him just for getting within several feet of him. He's also happier having Riff around than being alone. Rowan acts like he hates Riff with constant side-eyes, grumbling, and looking at me like "Why did you do this to me"... but if he doesn't have Riff when I'm away, he freaks out. He needs him and I think it's hilarious because if he were a person he would NEVER admit it.

On the flip side, Riff thinks that Rowan is soooo cool. I think that if Rowan ever played with him, he'd die of happiness.

Um Buster doesn't like Rudy because Rudy gets snarly with him. They tolerate each other. Dixie & Rudy are good together but I wouldn't say they are best pals.
