I paid $1000 last Fall for Priscilla with AKC papers. She was worth every penny! I've probably spent that much again on shots, spaying, microchipping and toys. And don't forget clothes!

Maddie ~ $350, a discounted price from a "good" breeder because she's not show quality. She was the runt, her legs have always been a little short for the breed, but no one ever notices because so many Cockers are from BYBs. She had the best temperment when I checked out the litter.
Carly ~ I didn't have to pay an adoption fee because I was fostering her. The vet visits and such that I usually get reimbursed for came out of my pocket, so I guess we call it even.
Missy ~ from a pound 3hrs away from my house. I was looking for a female GSD that was good with kids, dogs, and cats. First you pay $64.00 for the adoption fee and the license. Then they schedule an appointment for the dog at one of their vets where the dog will be spayed or neutered, and have its first shots. They offered grooming, nails, ect for additional price. It killed me to walk away from her at the pound and wait 3 days to drive back and get her.

I would like to add that grooming, spoiling utencils, ID's, food, ect... is probably 5x all of them added together :p
They were all SO worth it ;)

Makenzie was $80...I got him cheaper than the rest of his litter (running $250) because his mother bit him on the nose and cut him pretty good.

Buddy, my newest, was a $10 rabies shot from the pound. I think he's a full blood husky...he's got a couple oddities, though.

Apollo = $800 not including shots, microchipping, neutering, and acessories
Arco = $750 not including shots, microchipping, acessories, and vet bills for 2 ear infections and a cut on his foot
Sadie = FREE not including rabies and a vet checkup (already spayed)

I'd just like to take a moment to say that price is no indication of intelligence. In my case, it's just the opposite. The cheapest one is the smartest, and the most expensive...well, I think his genepool was a little more than shallow, lol :)

Buddy's adoption fee was $106, BUT, if we want to include the week long hospitalization in ICU after we had only had him two days... well, we'd venture into the thousands of dollars. BUT, he was absolutely worth it and I'd do it all over again if I had the choice. :)
