How many times a day do you poop?

I ask because my mom and I, and the rest of my family for that matter, get together or call each other and discuss poop. My brother and I who are a year apart have 3-4 poos a day. My mom however is lucky if she gets a small one. I was wondering who was more abnormal. My brother and I or my mom? Apparently the doctor says we poop a proper amount but everyone else seems to think we are full of sh!t.

Hmmm, interesting topic. When my husband had bowel surgery to repair a perforated bowel his GI Dr's told him that 1-2 normal regular movements a day is considered healthy.

I was a once a day until IBS set in ......now who knows !! I've heard that once or twice a day is normal , or even every other day .
