as a child, our family had two dogs. One was an oversized beagle named Bulldozer, and the other was a gorgeous and fabulous English Setter named Dutchess.

As an adult, the first dog we brought home was Traveler, who will be 13 very soon. We also had Libby who was a Gordon setter/spaniel mix. She died 2 1/2 years ago. Then we got Baxter, and now Wilson.

Past dogs:

Coco: Choclate lab; Reecie's sister. She just disapeared out of the yard one day.
Tasha: Siberian Husky that was given to my mom by my grandmother. Died of old age.
Leasle: Husky/Rottweiler mix, a result of Tasha and the neighbor's rott having a fling. I was very young when she died; I just remember her getting very sick.

So, 5 family dogs. I haven't had any of my own yet, and I won't until I move out.

I am now looking into getting a male chocolate Miniature Pincher. I want to get a female Pit bull, but I'd like to own my own house before I dive into that. But, of course ya never know. Finding a reputable pit breeder is hard enough...

I wasn't allowed a dog growing up, so Trent was my first when I moved out at 19.

Nena-A spaztic husky we got from the shelter who ate trash and ended up having surgery after eating a poisened rat, got rid of her when she became too wild, I was 6. She went to a Husky Rescue.

Chance- A uber-protective Chow we got from a lady at my dads office , who would growl at my parents and would mark on everything, one of the reasons he left, we got him when I was 9, he went to a soldier at Ft. Hood.

Growing up, we had a yellow lab that my dad got at the pound when he was in high school. He was 2 when my dad got him, and Max was around to see my dad graduate high school, graduate college, get married, and have 2 kids He was put down at age 17, when I was in 3rd grade.

Lucy is my first "all-by-myself" dog. I waited until I was done with school and relatively settled.

Halo - Dutch Shepherd (rehomed after breaking into my rabbit's cage and trying to eat her . . . plus he and I had other issues, now lives happily on a farm in MI with 5 other Dutchies)
