4 years and 25 days.

It's an odd feeling when you lurk for so long so that you "know" everyone, their dogs, stories and lives but you've not posted so they have no clue who you are.
That's exactly how I feel. I've only been here a few months, but I've lurked for like a year.

Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in :-(

This and this. I've been here for almost 6 years and have less than 1000 posts  Granted 5/6 years I've been in college living without a dog, I used to post more (on other forums) when I actually had pictures, new tricks and stories to share.

I write lots of responses to things...and never push the submit button! XD

I don't contribute much to the forum as I'm not really knowledgeable.
Eh. When I first joined I knew nothing about training (ok, nothing good about training). Ask a bunch of questions, make stupid comments, get called out, and then learn. :p Or just post a bunch of random stuff in the Fire Hydrant. Lol. And I, for one, like having you here. Someday I am going to come visit you so I can meet Katie. :)

I do this all the time!

ETA: I just post stalked myself and my goodness I was a noob. LOL.

I do this too!

I don't really post that much but I read a lot. :) I lurked for a couple years before I joined. Not regularly, but I would come on occasionally and read. I've been registered for almost four years now I think?

I come on a lot these days because I'm living 5000 km from home and missing my dogs like mad. :(

2 and 1/2 years. Or something around there. I really don't post that much, I'm much more of a lurker, but it doesn't feel like that long to me. Wow.

I don't even want to post stalk myself. I'm sure I sounded like a total tool.

Since the spring before I got Finn, so just about 4 years. I had been picking Beanie's brain about BC breeders (I know her outside of Chaz) and she had told me that she asked a dog community she belonged to about their opinions. I thought "oh what a good idea, I could join a dog forum or two!". I googled, found this forum, and realized it was the one Beanie was talking about. :p So I joined, got a lot of great info, and because of it I made a lot more informed decision about the breeder I chose than I may have otherwise.

(I was originally looking at sporter collie breeders. Absolutely nothing against them but they really aren't my kind of BC, and I had no idea about the different "types", so I'm very glad I wound up finding Chaz and going with a working breeder.)

Long time. I joined a bunch of dog forums because I was a freshman living in the dorms and feeling very dog deprived at the time. I left Nikki at home and just needed some 'dog time'.

ETA: Holy cow, 6 years!? I guess that's right. I joined 2 years before I got Summer, and Summer was 4 when I got her. She's nearly 8 now. Hard to imagine.

It is very sad to me to think that only one of our dogs from when I joined is still around. (Beau) :(

And goodness while I'm at it, it feels like I haven't had Mia that long and she's turning 3 next month!

I was thinking along similar lines... that neither of my dogs now were even alive when I joined. It's really weird to think of how "young" Molly was when I joined, since it feels like she's been gone for so long.
