Explain something to me...

I'm all toasty warm under a blanket watching a movie this morning. Lola is snuggled up right next to me. I'm stroking her fur periodically as I watch the movie and she'll flutter her little eyelids to make eye contact with me.

The movie is over... we both stretch for a second. Then she rolls over onto her back and nuzzles right up against my neck. I push her down a little because I can't breathe too well with her pressed right up against my mouth..lol.

She's still on her back with all four paws sticking straight up in the air. I'm looking at her sweet little face and talking puppy talk to her...even though she's over a year old now.

Well, as she's being all cute and cuddly.. I continue with the "oh, what a sweet puppy" "are you momma's little girl?" and just as I am in the middle of saying "are you a pretty girl?" Lola managed to slip me the tongue...:yikes:

My mouth was wide open because I was mid sentence.... and she literally swooped her whole tongue in my mouth. It was sooo gross. And as I gag and wanna hurl.. she looks up at me with these eyes "what did I do momma?"

I'd like to say this was the first time she's done this to me... but she's managed to get me several times... just not quite this bad..ewwww.

You'd think I'd learn not to talk puppy talk when she's anywhere near the vicinity of my mouth. I will have to make a mental note to myself for future violations.

So, explain to me how a dog can always manage to get their tongue in places it don't belong??? Does their tongue have a homing signal in it...lol. My dog can't be the only dog that does this.

Riot manages to get his in my eye a lot of the time and it ends with me trying to re-do my makeup in a hurry for work lmao!

I almost think I'd rather get it in the eye than my mouth..lol. Even when I suspect she's gonna nail me and try and move away.. she's too dang quick and still manages to get me! But at least she's so cute when she does it, I can't get mad at her. I usually just scoop her up and rough house with her.

Ah this has never happened to me, not a big fan of dogs licking my face! My brother always lets his pup lick his face and I saw it happen to him once. lol

I've been frenched a couple of times by dogs and I always have to run and get something to drink immediately, because I know where most of those tongues have been...

There's this one IG that you just don't get your face anywhere near his, because he will slip you the tongue despite your hardest efforts.

I'm not such a fan of my dog licking anywhere near my mouth. He isn't slobbery at all so if he wants to give a quick lick on my face that's fine, but no mouth!

There was a girl at the dog park a couple of weeks ago that let her dog jump up and start licking her lips. She loved it! So gross...

I will allow a few quick licks to the underside of my chin, but that's it. No lip contact; I chew on my lip's too much.

Eeew! I bent down to give Skye a kiss on the head one morning. She moved her head and I came away with a morning eye booger on my mouth. I still heave just thinking about it. Blech!

I can't stand for lola to lick my face. I'm just dumb enough to let her get close enough where I can't move quick enough to avoid it. Ewww... just the thought of what's been in her mouth and where that tongue has been.. that thought makes me wanna hurl.

Gah. . .Lucy is the worst licker I've ever had. She licks eyes, shoots her tongue up your nostril or in your mouth, all before you know it.

Try having your dog lick your glasses, getting both lenses in one slurp so that you can't see, particularly when you have nothing available to clean them with.
