on a scale of 1-10.. one being lowest, 10 being highest... How happy are you with your current vet?

Have you ever had any problems with previous vets at all??

I have only been in to see my vet twice with Riot, its a newer facility, everything is always very clean and the staff are always happy to see Riot. A friend of mine is also the vet tech there, so that makes things a little bit better. She knows how they handle him and such.

When Riot went in for his second needles, the vet recognized him right away and imedieatly got right down on the floor with Riot to give him hugs and kisses and to tell him that hes grown so much (11 lbs first visit, 19 pounds a few weeks later lol yea hes grown a bit!).

So overall, i'm very pleased with my vet. I wouldn't be leaving her anytime soon.

Also, what is the general cost for you to just go in to see your vet? Mine charges a $56 inicial fee.

2 I don't particurally like the vet I have now at all. But unfortunetly they are the best I can get at the money I have.

The one I had before was worse! Stupid guy told my parents it was a good idea to shave Lucas to keep him cool  Plus he just seemed all around stupid. lol

The charge to see the vet is $30

I'd give my vet a 10. He does a wonderful job; all my animals have been great over there. I especially like the fact that his clinic has two seperate waiting rooms, one for dogs and one for cats and other small animals. When I had to take Trunks, my ferret, in because of a leg injury, the vet looked it over and said it was just a bad bruise. And he didn't charge me a thing!

I'd give my vet an 8,they are good with animals - although I have had some mild disagreements with them. They have no minimum charge & often do little things free and give free dog chews or food.

I give our vet an eight. She is a great vet - she takes time to understand the animals, she has never used the exam table with our dogs - they always just lay on the floor on a blanket, she feeds them treats while she talks to us, and she's really just very nice. The girls like her. But she has a ton of clients so it's really hard to get an appointment with her, and she's expensive. One of her vet techs is kind of rude, too.

I give my vet clinic a 10....4 very good vets . I like to switch to get to know all of them and they my dog. If there's a problem, I let the one who diagnoised see it through. The other clinic in my old city was the same...both have been in business over 50 years. I only disliked one of their vets and he didn't last long there....I think you get what you pay for...a good vet once a year costs the same as poor vetting 3 or 4 times a year ! I do prefer a privately owned clinic over a chain.

9 Shes really great and always treats the pets good & they are cured pretty fast after she helps them. The office is really cozy too. The only reason she doesnt get a 10, is because her charge is really high.

i'd give the clinic i use a 8 out of 10 for overall regular stuff, but a 10 out of 10 for competence in surgery and aftercare. the veterinary surgeon is a genius.

I give my Vet a 10, not only is he a wonderful vet, but he is extremely good looking :D

Never

Sometimes I don't get charged at all :D I used to work at this clinic so I know all the Vets and tech's very well. A normal office fee is $38.00. I like the fact that no matter what the Vets allow me to be a part of it. When I had to have my Rottweilers hips and front legs X-rayed I stayed with her and positioned her on the table...she is such a good girl no need to sedate her...you just have to push her legs apart and she will stay in that position. My Vets know what I went through with aggression problems with both my rescues and they are always telling me what a wonderful job I did with these dogs and how easy they are to work with. They really stroke the igo. :)

It depends on the vet really. My clinic has 3, one is a bit too arrogant in my opinion (although very handsome :D ), the other is ok, the last one is great, he loves pets and always gives a toy to the dogs lol. I've never had any problem with them, just the fact it took ages to cure the weird spot Tips had on his leg. I saw the 3 of them, only the last one gave me something that worked, but it could be just because it healed over time. It's gone now finally.

9-10 and it would be a 10 but we just moved from PA to NJ and we still use the same vet. It takes over an hr each way but it is so worth it. There is a branch here but we don't like them (in case of an emergency then we would but...) and we have a plan that they office visit is free and the shots are included.
We have all 3 dogs on the plan.
Our vet helped a rescue that we are w/ and even sat in a tub w/ ice w/ a very sick dog b/c he had such ahigh fever. Most vets would havbe their tech take care of a dog, but he'd do it himself and to go that far, WOW! I want someone like that taking care of my dogs!!!!

2.

My vet hit Rocky on the nose as if it were her own dog. Even after I explained to her some problems I was having with him aggressively. I even explained to her that hitting him would make it worse after a couple of suggestions she made. She still goes and slaps him on the nose. And because Rocky was barking, my dad and I had to go sit outside for around a good 45 minutes in scorching hot weather. IT's A VETERINARY- DOGS do what? Do whaaat? THEY BARK!

If it weren't for their prices, I'd never go back. And I'm not going to see the same veterinarian- I'm requesting someone else.

um... 9. My vet specializes in bigger breeds, so she is an expert on Harley. I have another cat vet that checks Darwin over. The only thing about my vet; shes amazing, but shes pricey.

I give my vet an 8. They are very reasonably priced and will hold postdated checks for up to a month for people. They have been really good with all our dogs and will call the next day they leave the office (even for just shots) to see how they are doing. They will do some things for free, but they usually charge a $28 office visit fee. The only thing that I don't like is that if I make an appointment for 2 in the afternoon I won't get in to see the vet until a quarter to three or even three o'clock.

We have 2 vets in the same building. I would give him a 10. He is wonderful with animals, truely loves them and knows what he's doing. I would give her a 7. Although I think she truely loves the animals, I'm not impressed by her skills as a vet. Maybe because he's a tough act to follow. The bad thing is, since it's his business, he has cut his load down alot and seldom see's patients. There is a new vet in a town close to us I am seriously thinking of trying just because I dont care for her.

All vets are not created equal. I would check to see what vet school they went to and how long they have practiced. I would go by the universatiy they went to. Some vet schools are outstanding and some turn out some pretty sorry vets. The Vet is only as good as his schooling and where he interned.
