Just wondering, of course ;)

Maddie has been very concerned that I have been so sick. She watches me very carefully, just lays there are watches, with her brows and foreheads all wrinkly. When I am in obvious, physical pain (like doubling over or crying -- I rarely cry), she paces and watches... It's nice because she's not OVERLY clingy and obsessive, or whiney and annoying, but its pretty obvious she notices to say the least, and she's more cuddly than normal :)

When I was reacting to the medicine, shaking all over parkinsons-like, she was VERY worried. She kept sticking her nose in my face, staring in my eyes... and then she'd go over to my Dad and poke him in the knee... Almost like she was alerting him, or wanting him to do something about it. She sat next to me on the couch and laid her head in my lap, despite me shaking, and looked up at my face.
When she paces and watches, she doesn't whine or bother me at all. When I am laying down and resting, she lays by my side diligently. <3

When I got back from the hospital, they all sniffed my arms where I had IVs and shots and everything and Missy's hair even stood up on her neck like she had goosebumps  but that could be from me acting so drugged, too :p lol!

My dog is generally obnoxious and throws tennis balls in my face all day. Mia doesn't seem to understand what it means when I'm sick at all.

It's an excuse to go get in trouble while I'm busy puking.

I still remember the time I had REALLY bad food poisoning and discovered Auggie ate my earplugs. Used earplugs. That were all waxy and gross. It pretty much made me want to hurl again.

Annoying.

Okay, in her defense the last time I was sick was a year ago, so she was still a puppy. I had been puking all night and when morning rolled around, Juno was laying on top of me, whining and nudging me with her paws.

She probably hasn't changed much since then lol, but I feel like now I could tell her to KNOCK IT OFF and she'd probably oblige.

Lucy acts the same... always a lazy lap dog.

Dally is completely oblivious to how anyone else is feeling - when she's feeling bad though she's a HUGE drama queen! :p

My childhood Aussie was very sensitive that way. If I was sick or crying she would get very concerned.

Quinn I'm not so sure yet - I haven't been really sick since I got her. She'll lick my face when I cry but I'm pretty sure that's just because my tears are salty and not because she's actually concerned about me, LOL.

Millie acts a bit like she does when she's alerting, just with less urgency. She plasters herself to my side, watches my every move, follows me everywhere, and if I'm sick enough to be throwing up or whatever, will bark at my mom's door until she comes out and finds me.

Lucy really doesn't act all that different. She sticks closer to me sometimes, but isn't nearly as in tune with me as Millie is. She seems to be getting more intuitive about how I'm feeling these last few months, though.

Strider does for sure. He alerts, which is basically just him responding to specific illness. He's also really sensitive if I'm getting sick otherwise. He got super snuggly when I got pregnant, about a week after conceiving. If he does it again I'm going to be taking a pregnancy test much sooner. lol.

Kaia is pretty snuggly all the time, but boistrous. If you're sick or sad she gets super concerned and tries to lick you. ugh. lol  She'll tone down her sillyness though and just try to lay on you. She's alerted to my episodes when I've had them around her too.

Ivan gets even more snuggly/clingy when I'm sick. But we have learned that he is NOT allowed to be near me while I'm sick because he sees the need to keep everyone away from my general area. And he is not all that nice about it.

She's her normal self. Just as pleased to curl up in bed or on the couch for the day as she is when I'm healthy. My Bedlington used to be so sweet when I was upset or sick - kisses, not leaving your side, etc. I was shocked when Meg, who is a far sweeter dog by nature and much more bonded to me, clearly didn't notice or care. When I mentioned it to my friend, she said "Well, that's a bitch for you. It doesn't matter unless it affects her!".

Eve is -usually- very considerate and aware of my suffering. She typically lays beside me and solicits belly rubs instead of trying to rough-house.

Other times she jumps directly on my stomach. Or my head. If I had a broken limb she'd probably jump on that too.

If I have a migraine, sometimes she crawls up onto the couch next to me and gently licks my face.

Other times she finds the loudest cuz in the house and starts revving up her jaws to squeak it as much as possible.

Eve is still alive with all appendages attached, so I'm pretty sure her sweet nurturing moments exceed her total obnoxious ones. ;) She's usually a really good girl.

Haha that's how Mia is. She has these moments where she's totally in tune and aware of things. When she's that way she's sooo sweet. But then other moments she's totally oblivious and wild. It's about half and half these days.

Summer is just happy that if I'm sick she can stay in bed all day.

At first, Finn is very attuned to it. After he throws some toys at my face and notices I'm not keen on moving (98% of the time when he throws a toy at me, I play with him).

He becomes stuck to me, and if I lie down he'll do this thing where he lays pressed up behind me and rests his head in the crook of my neck. I think it's adorable, like he's trying to keep me warm... though usually I overheat when he does that. LOL

Buuut after a day or two, he's back to being his energetic self. He's a border collie, I can't blame him. "Back to work, food lady!"

Jackson - it just depends. He generally picks up on how I'm feeling, but sometimes he's oblivious. Last weekend, I was still coughing my HEAD off... fighting off bronchitis. I thought I was feeling better so decided to take him to the dog park and I had a total cough attack. Jackson usually is the first to go off running with the other dogs and not pay any attention to me... but I was sitting on the bench, coughing away, clearly uncomfortable, and he came over and just laid down beside me. While all the other dogs were running. Which I thought was sweet, so we ended up leaving, lol.

So does Auggie... I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the sound, and I can't blame him because I don't either. ;P
I remember one time I was puking and he was dancing around barking and my mom was trying to chase him out of the bathroom, and I was like "No, no... he's okay." I mean... he was being annoying, yes, but no more than he normally is. And it wasn't like he was jumping on me or anything, just dancing around and barking his head off, LOL.

The bigger one of the two dogs I have - Bertha - seems to be mourning all day long when I'm sick. She lays her head on me whenever she can and always keep an eye on me, just in case I'm going out of the bed. The other one - Julia - isn't that attentive... Maybe she is too young to be, I don't know (btw. she is 7 months old).
