That just makes me sick. My husband and I have been trying to have children (no success yet). It also tears me up to see all these babies having babies. You also have to go thru soooo much to adopt. Don't get me wrong that is good for the children, but anyone can have children but not everyone can adopt?

Well thank GOD she took it someplace to be adopted and didn't just put it in a TRASH BIN somewhere.

At least the child will be taken care of.

This mother must have realized that she could not raise the child herself. I think it was in fact a huge thing that she did. It certainly was for the welfare of the infant.

JMO as always.

RedyreRottweilers...I don't think you read the entire article. She DIDN'T take it anywhere to be adopted. She let it die in the trash can and it was hauled off to the landfill. Sad story.

yes it does, they need to keep her in there until she's too old to have children anymore. She probably figured "oh I'll have plenty of time to have more kids". And if she was SO afraid of what her boyfriend (the FATHER) of the child would say then she shouldn't have been with him to begin with.

I can't get the article to come up, but juliefurry, I'm assuming this mother was quite young and being so, most likely was very suseptible to persuasion and couldn't see a way out of the relationship. Pure speculation right now, because I can't find the article, but something to think about. Not everyone has an easy out when it comes to breaking up.

EDIT:Ok, read it finally...not so very young...but I wonder how she got through 9 months of pregnancy without "Paul" finding out...interesting...She's a bit "teched" in the head it seems. She could have made an anonymous 911 call even!

If something like that happened to me I don't care what the guy would say I would tell him that we need to take the baby to a hospital.

I take it you've never been in a relationship where you're afraid for your physical/mental well-being?

Yes, actually, I have. The guy I was with before my husband was mentally and physically abusive and so was my father. So I have had to deal with that plenty. My husband is NOTHING like those guys but is still trying to help me deal with my past. She knew what was right she knew she could either call 911 or take the baby to a hospital herself, or even tell her friends or a relative (she said she was too embarrassed to tell anyone).

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I'm not disagreeing with any of you by the way; I think the girl's a twit and the guy has the street sense of a brick. Blue's correct, there's two gene pockets that don't need to get spread around.

I mean I know she probably freaked out but I could never do that to my child I don't care how afraid I was of what the boyfriend would do. Worst case scenario is he would have killed the infant (and probably would have done it a lot quicker and less painful that what she did to the baby) and then she could have called the authorities on him.

Yeah. Myself, I would have called for a ride to the hospital while the boyfriend was off buying the super-absorbant pads. I'm pretty sure they still allow for anonymous adoptions? I have no idea and honestly, I hope I never find out.

yeah, as long as the baby is less than 3 days old you can bring it into any firestation, police department, or hospital and not be help at fault for anything. That's why those rules were made so things like this didn't happen.
