Hot Spots

Does anyone know of any topical home remedies for hot spots? My friend's dog has a bad hot spot on his face. I've heard you can use a vinegar and water solution to rinse it. I've also heard that tea tree oil is good, but do you use the oil full strength and just rub it into the spot or does it have to be diluted in something?

I use 50/50 Apple Cider Vinegar (organic unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally fermented) and water when Dante had them. Cleared up within 72 hours
