I know I have alot of silly questions..but Lilly is my first "baby" puppy :)
How can u tell the differance between a hot spot and fleas? The vet said she did have fleas so I treated her with advantage about 10 days ago but for the last 2 days she has been chewing and licking at one spot on her back. I was thinking about giving her a good bath and re treating with advantage, any suggestions?

You can buy a flea comb, quite inexpensive and a good indicator if fleas are still present. The flea comb catches flea dander, you'll see small specks.
If your dog has a hot spot, the area will be red, inflamed and oozing. If it is in fact a hot spot, best thing to do is shave the area to let it dry and keep your dog from licking and chewing on it. I have used apple cider vinegar and water to help dry it out faster.

Hope this helps
