Purty! Is the one a sunburned black or a dark bay?

Makes me miss my boy, Chance... Sis is making noises about getting another horse, maybe a retiree, to keep her gelding company. He's not doing well as an only horse so we've arranged 'play dates' with a neighbor who has a single older mare but the neighbor isn't alway consistent about it. The mare is almost 30, so there's that, too...

I had a strange dream last night that we had two more horses besides my sister's Morgan gelding. One was a dark sorrel Saddlebred mare and then I had a chunky little bay gelding named Rath... Weird...

He's a true black, but just pretty sunburned. The heat and humidity kept him sweaty and hot, which resulted in crappy sun bleaching. :(

I hear ya... For all the years I had my black Morgan, I was fairly lucky, he pretty much always kept his color. Does Raja turn a velvety black in the fall?
