I don't have a horse, but I ride and go to shows, where the Jack Russells are everywhere, along with corgis and labs. I was at a driving show last fall, and the coach dog competition was 2 Jack and a little shaggy white mutt. At the big Devon dressage show this year, there were insane people in the audience who'd brought their enormous shepherd/mastiff mix, who was the worst-behaved dog I've ever seen at a show - he kept roaring and tried to jump a nearby dog.

I have partial ownership of Trace

I don't have a jack russell, but there is one that lives on the farm my horse is kept at. I see tons of jrt's when we camp out at competitions. jrt's and lab mixes (they all seem to look like Old Yeller lol!)

Your link does not work, at least not for me.

I use to have horses but none right now. I am looking at one again, he is a real gentleman.

I grew up on a small horse farm - hobby farm if you will. My dad raised standardbreds for a while, and while it was great growing up... I now think that that was probably a bad idea... considering how fickle the horse racing biz is.

Besides the broodmares and foals, I also had some back yard riding mounts - my favorites were Raven, my morgan, and Dicky, my welsh pony. I also had for short periods of time a quarterhorse (not a fan), 2 arabians (pretty but could never get used to their gaits) and a thoroughbred (she was my third favorite mount).

I didn't do anything like 4-H (well I did but that's a long story), or show... I just rode in the back acres of property that the neighbor's had. I wish I had done more now... but c'est la vie.

I can't go around horses anymore due to my asthma so it's unlikely I will ever own another. I do however like alpacas. :)

Mine recently got sold in the summer time :( I miss him SOOOO much he was my big puppy dog. Used to follow me around and would do ANYTHING for him.. Greatest horse I'd ever had an opertunity to work with. He was a Leopard Appaloosa :)

I currently exercise two "adoptables" though lol Oreo(b/w Tobiano Paint mare) and her dam Jasmine (Solid Chestnut Paint with a star).
Fabulous Western horses. I'll be showing Jasmine in Reining hopefully this summer!
