Hi! I currently reside in Colorado, and I'm in the position to get a dog. Not too sure on what breed, though.

I would be taking the dog on a one hour walk in the morning, then a long hike after I get home from work and finish it off with a game of fetch / frisbee. While I only plan on having one dog, I've had DA dogs before and it isn't something I want to deal with again. Being reserved towards strangers is fine, but no intolerance please. They don't have to know a ton of tricks, but I will be teaching the basic ones (Drop it, stay, sit, come, ect..), so biddability is needed. I prefer dogs under 80 pounds, and while I'm not a huge fan of super shedders, I can manage if it's the right dog. I don't have to have a lab-affectionate dogs, but nothing really aloof, please! And since I live in Colorado, snow/cold tolerance is a must.

Someone recommended me a bearded collie, but that's not quite what I had in mind in terms of grooming. I know I won't be able to get a short coated dog due to the weather, but nothing that extreme.

I've been looking at Icelandic Sheepdogs, but it seems like it would be a pain in the butt to get one due to their rarity.
