I have a 13ish year old cat, Jewel, who has been having trouble with her hind end for... awhile now. I suspect she's got ugly hips, though I've never xrayed her. She doesn't limp, but she has trouble jumping up on things. She takes Glycoflex 2 cat treats but I don't really appreciate that it's making any difference for her.
Any other ideas? I've been trying to get her to play feather toy up in the air so that she's sitting on her hind end in the hopes that it will help to build/rebuild/maintain muscle mass, but I don't know that we do it enough to count.
She's a good weight. She's hyperthyroid and was down to like six pounds before we got her controlled (she vomits on oral meds, so she is on transdermal). Slightly elevated kidney values now that we've regulated her thyroid, but otherwise healthy. And evil. (She's a tortie, she can't help it.)
