Does anyone else play this with your dog?

Bodhi luuurrves it. And I crack up - I am the WORST hider, I giggle too much.

I was bored tonight, so decided I would run off and hide (behind a door in a bedroom). Well, I can hear Bodhi jumping about looking for me.

She does this kind of bunny hop bounce thing when she's trying to find me - bounces on her front feet (so she can see over stuff I presume).

Well - she runs RIGHT in the room, starts spinning and bouncing looking for me.. I crack up - and she runs RIGHT past me and off again..! Dozy bugger.

It's all too much for me by this point and I snigger so hard she eventually finds me :D

It really is good fun..!

Though, once we did it at the beach and I hid in some sand dunes - well. Next thing I see is her sprinting off down the beach, becoming a dot in the distance. I was laughing to hard to actually call her back at the time. As were people that were watching our "game". She just kept going and going... lol. She came back in the end with about 3 dogs in tow, was so funny!

lol - all good fun!

(I think I have cabin fever :D)

Tooo Much Fun!

I play this with my dogs too. I love hearing them running, full of excitement..sniffers loaded...and the look of pride when they find me is almost more than I can handle. I too am a terrible giggler to the point of giving myself away half the time. Such a great game to build and improve recall too.

It's fun but my Goldens could alway find me ! Once I released them from their stay, whether it was voice or smell , they would find me in a minute !

I play 'hide & seek' with my dog when he gets in a playful mood (which isn't very often). What he loves doing is running behind the back of the couch to hide, and if I go to one end and he see's I've spotted him he'll run to the other end.

I play it with Aeron when she is with me. If you try and play it with a lazy Pap like Lilly you are likely to srout cobwebs before she flops off the couch to see why you are being so wierd!

We LOVE this game, it's so much fun. We play it in the house when no one else is home. I'm ok if I can't see her, but if I have a peek and see her looking for me I burst out laughing. Is it just me or do you get really tense and serious when hiding sometimes?

This has happened to me too. I was hiding behind a tree and she saw someone on the field and thought it was me. She shot off so fast I stumbled out of my hiding place trying to laugh and shout her all at once. She didn't hear me at first so carried on going, she eventually realised and zoomed back to me.
