Why not just give the vet a quick call and ask to make sure?

To give tablets, Lucas won't eat them if I put them in anything. I just open his mouth, put the pill in the back, hold his mouth shut, and rub his throat. After he swallows I give him a super yummy treat, now he just swallows them quickly for me :)

I don't know about the scrub but I might be able to help with the tablets. When Max was dieing we had to give him a pain med and an anti-inflammatory. We put a big glob of cottage cheese around the pill or put a large thing of peanut butter on it. The cottage cheese worked best though.

Sage loves her pills in small cheese chunks. Peanut butter is good too because it's sticky and it's harder for the dog to find the pill and spit it out...although some manange.

I'm not too familiar with hibi scrub except for I know Surgeons use it to wash their hands before operating. I didn't know it was safe to use on open wounds. I would definately give your vet a ring just to make sure you do everything right.
